Does anyone have a solution for the clutch cable? So it doesn’t break the key surround on the lc2 ?

Does anyone have a solution for the clutch cable? So it doesn’t break the key surround on the lc2 ? I didn't realise the cable caused the damage, I will have a look at my original LC2 tomorrow.

Does anyone have a solution for the clutch cable? So it doesn’t break the key surround on the lc2 ? A strategically placed cable tie perhaps.!

Does anyone have a solution for the clutch cable? So it doesn’t break the key surround on the lc2 ? Its not the cable that breaks the surround. It's when it's crashed the clocks flex back on the rubber mounts and it hits the ignition switch The wear mark it leaves on the case below the Speedo is another thing though ☹ Steve

so i fitted new power valve cables, and set the powervalve sby looking up the exhaust port, and not the roundy thing on the pulley, that seems off by a mill or so. anyway im happier lookimg up the exhaust, that way i know the valves open fully. ahhhhh that servo sound......

Rad on. And all pipes, put a tiny bit of that red rubber grease on pipes to help fit them.

oh, when phil came around yesyerday, i was boasting about how i fit the engine without scratching the frame and even showed him the engine spacers that i hadnt fitted! DOH! engine back out spacers in, and then i thought i was off the hook, until luckily i dropped a washer into the engine somewhere, its gone, never found it. but while rooting around the top of the gearbox with a torch i discovered the water pipe clamp from clutch side to head was loose!!! so i spent an hour searching for other stuff i forgot to tighten. that was the only one.....i hope!

You are motoring along with your build Matt. Wont be long now and you will be able to ride it. Just remember to check all the bolts - dont want wheels or brakes to come loose whilst hanging on the cable

Fitting these tonight These looks pristine compared to mine. Just checked on Yambits now......89 pounds a valve with 21 pounds for the centre joint. I am in for the high jump that's for sure.

I honestly couldn't believe the condition of the engine when i pulled it apart, bar 1 siezed stud, evrything came apart easy, and the condition of parts was amazing! standard pistons and bore, still perfect, crank, perfect, powevalves perfect. god bless them Germans, old man Horst looked after her.

Yes, your bike looked rough from the outside, but was very good on the inside - mine seems to be the polar opposite. Shows you the value of a well-maintained bike.

It sounds like you've had a right result with the engine
