Looking great Andy, really coming on fast So nice being able to build it in the warm too. I was down the shed today, and even though the sun was out it was bloody freezing !! Keep the pics coming !! Dusty Couldn't agree more Dusty. My kitchen project at the moment is nice and warm, but its plastering the ceiling and then she wants a new wooden floor. I might try and smuggle an RD in once done with a blanket under it, should be fine.

Day off work today, so a little bit of progress. Crank dropped in a treat, just need my mates clutch holding tool to do the nut up and i'll box it up. New old stock headlight bowl and rim fitted along with a Jap spec headlight, new horn from Norbo and everything works as it should, surprised, as electrickery ain't my strong point. I reckon a set of clutch plates and some hoses and it'll be ready for pipes, can't wait to finish it. Andy. Is that the one piece gasket? I've seen those and they seem to be a sensible idea.

Hi Phil, 2 piece gaskets, have seen the one piece ones but stuck with tried and tested method. Andy.

Well, had a few more hours today, engine in, wiring sorted, oil lines plumbed in, silicone hoses fitted, bugger me, it's got a neutral light and a spark! Front mudguard back from painters, fitted that as well. Just brake pipes, exhausts, cables and it should be done, about time as well. Andy. Well, had a trip to Scarboro today to pick up my pipes from Jim (Alonze), what a great guy, and what a turn around, ordered Monday, text Thursday, done! He is building a great flat tracker with a valve engine, KR tribute, it's going to be really nice, told him to join the forum and get some pictures on. The pipes are amazing, got them fitted and bolted on some old Chinky cans i've had laying around, took the bike outside and she started 2nd kick, sounds awesome and nice and quiet, i was a bit worried about my rebuild skills on the engine, but no bother. Brake lines and oil pump cover and it's ready for running in, can't wait! Andy. That is totally and utterly fantastic. The pipes are spot on. You must be chuffed to bits!

Hi Andy, brilliant job on the bike nice subtle modifications, is the belgarda rear wheel the fat spoke brembo type or the thin spoke 4fl one, been trying to find a thin spoke 3.50 x 17 wheel for mine

It’s the thin spoke type. Quite rare as they are legal in YPM.
It’s was my spare.
I have one in my LC hybrid and they are great little wheels, just the right size.

Hi Guys, had the bike out this afternoon on the estate, crisp a bag of Walkers, ticks over on the high side, need to adjust the cables i think, it's well comfortable with the clip ons, i'm 6ft 2" and the position is spot on,agree the cans are long, but i got Jim to do me flat flange with slotted M6 holes, so i can fit any 3 bolt cans i want, might try me Tygas off me RGV to see what they sound like. Well happy so far! Andy. IMG_2002 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr IMG_2004 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr IMG_2010 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr

Andy Just read through this build of yours with interest , looks well nice that mate , I’m in the middle of a similar rear end set up as yours only difference is I’m putting a R1-z 250 wheel (which I believe may be the same sizes as yours) in a standard F2 arm , is there any info you could share with me please , ie : 1: Is the welded rear hanger lug a specific size ?, 2: Any spacers on the wheel spindle needed? 3: Is the wheel a fairly easy fit ? 4: Does the chain run line up without too much bother ? Thanks mate Ian
