No harm in creating your own invoice. Most are on a scrap of paper anyway and TBH who is going to check where the invoice was printed !!! Use that to get it on nova. Once it's on nova you can get it registered using V55/5 and a dating letter from Paul Dawkins www.motorbikeregistrations.co.uk

Not saying the Veg’s bike is stolen.

If you have no paperwork then not a problem.
Dating letter from yam
Ask a friendly southern Irishman to hand write a receipt for £500
Do a nova with the receipt and no vat as from an EU country.

I've just imported a bike from the Italy so have just done the NOVA. As yours is already in your possession just make out it from the EU. You will need to create a .GOV id first. Go to the NOVA section. The online NOVA website asks for a receipt but there is also a check box for no receipt. Just select this and state no "receipt offered or asked for, all transaction carried out verbally..." Select an EU country, use a name and overseas address from that country as the person you bought it off (make it up) and then just submit it. It's a completely automated process and the NOVA reference will be emailed to you immediately.
After NOVA get a dating letter, copy of your UK driving license, MOT cert, V55/5 and a cheque for first Reg & VED fee. Send to the DVLA & Bob's your uncle!

As lo g as it was not stolen in the UK nothing Steve That opens up a whole new business opportunity! Its not new Kostas, ive seen lots of imports with mangled ignitions and fuel caps and with several keys to them, of course there can be genuine reasons for this but a good percentage of them with have had a dubious history but if you cant trace its past, whose to know...
