2001 T1000s (My baby, and 1 of my human babys!), bought brand new in 2001 at the tender age of 21! Widow maker nearly earned its reputation in 2007! Full akrapovic ti system, k+n, dyno jet pc, ohlins rear shock conversion, AP 6 pot calipers and discs, aluminium undertray (made by me!) Battery relocated to TLR position on homemade bracket, ride height adjuster, 1 off paint job by my mate Keith at nastypaint! 1994 Honda Fireblade, dream machine Castrol paint job, k+n, dyno jet stg 1! (Only just started on this one so plenty more to modify!) Picture was taken before I sorted out the odd can on it, think it's for a gsxr750 so didn't line up properly till I made a re-mounting/straightening flange!

What’s the difference between tlr and Tls 👍 I haven't a clue, but do remember the TL100s was slated because of it's rotary damper, I can only guess the TL1000r was modified around this set-up, as it continued in production for a few years??

(sorry for slow response havent been on for a few days been knee deep in RD trying to finish it!) TLS is lighter due to less fairing, TLR (when I rode one last) power delivery felt a little less angry than the S (although it makes more outright power than the S). I prefer the S because it feels more nimble than the R but is nowhere near as stable as the R. The R I did ride was standard though so possibly unfair to fully compare it to a modded bike!

Gorgeous! Big dollops of tyre smearing torque! I love the TL but it has it quirks, it wasnt until i rode the blade I realised how unstable the TL is, the blade will sit on its ear through corners and not flinch, just egg you on to lean further and open the throttle more, the TL requires lots of rider input to keep it on a line but rewards you when you get it right, drive through and out of twisty corners is giggle inducing. I used to ride with a mate of mine on a highly modified GSXR11, into, through and out of corners the TL was king (well i could keep up with him anyway ), hit a straight and I'd wave bye bye until we hit the next corner and I'd catch back again. And it rattles windows and sets off car alarms on full open Akra's!

I had one of the first TLS back in 1997. Was supposed to be a 916 rival but the handling was very odd and made worse with the knee jerk steering damper mod from Suzuki.
