Had to look out some spares today but they are stashed away in my secure shed where I keep the doors screwed shut, keeps the other half from inadvertently going in. Anyway decided to look them out while the wife went shopping as I knew she'd be a couple of hours. To get to the spares I had to take out a mint RD400f and an XL500s my other half doesn't know I have. So the bikes are out in the garden and ticking over nicely when the wife unexpectedly walks round the corner having forgot my bank card and see's these two bikes, Goodness me (or words to that effect) how do I explain this then. Surely enough she asks what are these then? After the initial reply of "well this is an rd400 and this is an XL500S" and the return reply of "No shit Sherlock" it occurred to me that I can't be the only one with bikes my wife doesn't sorry didn't know about. So what have we all got stashed away our partners don't know about?

I give the same answer she does when I spot her wearing a new pair of shoes, top, bag, boots etc…… What that old thing?, I’ve had it ages!.
With 23 bikes I forget what she’s seen and what she hasn’t!.

I don't hide anything from the wife she and the boy have 3 horses between them and all the shite that goes with them so I am in credit big time.

I've never hidden anything I've bought tbh but always go with a similar theme as Bezzer if the Missus makes a comment about anything to do with my bikes, "they're like shoes & handbags love, you can never have too many"

Although to be fair Rob your bikes are far more exotic and desirable than mine! 😊👍🏻

Uuuuuum, six of my 9 (oooops soon to be 10) bikes are presently at an ‘undisclosed location’. My plan is to bring them home one at a time as each resto finishes and in my mind at least, I have saved us a fortune by buying them all over the last 10 years before prices went up, so that makes it alright in my view! 😜
It’s funny how she always needs another pair of shoes or a new dress but always asks why I need another bike eh? 😳

You can’t be married with bikes in the spare room? First thing my old man did when he got divorced from my mum was rebuild his T140 in the front room

As long as a friend of mine has a black Honda with his private plate on it his wife is none the wiser.
She has not noticed it change from a Blackbird to a CB 1000r (" I took the fairing off dear") to a Fireblade in the last few years!

First thing my old man did when he got divorced from my mum was rebuild his T140 in the front room Apparently not everyone has a perfect other half :-) One of the sheds is a bit full as well www.flickr.com/photos/156864217@N06/39682228582/in/dateposted-public/There are 2 RG5 frames on one landing, 2 complete LC's in boxes in the spare bedroom, and RG570, VJ21SP and VJ22SP engines on the top landing !! It's difficult to hide that lot.....

Only my KR1 now but it become a lot more difficult to blag her a couple of years ago when she took an interest in the bikes ,passed her test and bought her own bike...
She thinks I swapped the KR1 for the RD500..which as we know cost around £800 ...bit awkward when shes out with me now at a meet and people say how expensive the old bikes are now..

I have to keep buying bikes because if I stopped my other half would notice the change in behaviour and the ensuing inquisition would attempt to extract a confession about the obvious new love interest that I don’t have.....

I have a couple stashed that she doesn't know about... The others she knows about all too well as she took the log books to her solicitors for the impending divorce proceedings... Think I'll be 'selling' them soon.....
Anyone want a mint 88 RC30 for £10..?

Don't try to hide them, you will have to make them disappear for a blood sucking solicitor to lose the scent. I know been there twice now.........
