I ran one in a banshee 421 quad the core is perforated allowing better oiling/cooling of the 8 plates , as it withstood loads of abuse popping one into this motor ... besides that as I got it here might of well use it otherwise it,ll end up being sold..
I totally understand if you’ve got it why not use it.
However I was asking what the advantage was, and you’ve answered it - another plate.
I personally think the clutch is a underated element of most engine rebuilds. It’s not so much as if it slips under load for me under load, but slips under down shifts. I like a 2 stroke with some engine breaking, but hate as much as a 4 stroke coming off the throttle.
What is the extra plate like in reality? Chariot sells clutch baskets that supposedly can take an extra plate. Trying to find information about this is difficult. I read a short Internet comment about using the inner part from Hinson, but internet comments are not always reliable. So is it worth it?
I'm confused now, is this 'one last build' 'streetfighter' or both of the above I'd be calling it the 'Bankrupt build' with all those lovely parts. Sure is going to be nice.
Get confused myself at times had 3 builds on the go one ( the RD ) has been cancelled ::) Streetfighter RS YPVS (which took over from one last build) is still being modified in another thread , so bought another Aprilia RS shuffled some parts destined for the others bought some more goodies an stuffing all the goodness into this new chassis ... HTH (rofl)
