It's been a very long time since i did an update on my bike!! The tread was down on Page 4!! How time flies...
My bike is currently away and has been now for a few weeks with Performance Fabrications (Mark Dent) to have Pipes made, Carbs fitted and set up..
Still can not decide on colour scheme as i can not get the paint i want being an MSO colour.

Hi Morgy, good to see you back, cant wait to see this bike finished especially to see how the engine performs. Cheers Toby, I've had a free afternoon to have a browse on other people's project. Some nice work going on as usual!! I too am looking forward to getting it on the road before the winter, But at this rate trying to get the pipes made it will probably be another year gone by... I still can't believe i Originally bought this Six month project in Dec 2017... Dusty has probably done 5-6 bikes to my 1

One small issue i do have to look into, The carbs are not opening up fully, 28mm carbs on standard throttle/switchgear... I may have to look into another throttle body or try and mod the "original" somehow But i do really want to keep the Standard LC switchgear.

You have to mod the carb top adjusters, or the throttle cable if you are using Pwk 28's. Lots of info in the resto section where guys have done it in different ways Dusty

You can use the standard cable, but you have a very small margin of error.
What i do is is first check the twist grip can pull the slide in the 3way splitter to the very top of the splitter and when released the slide goes to the very bottom of the splitter. Once that is good then you can play with the free length of the seperate carb slide cables. It's important to keep these exactly the same length because if the discrepancy is too large when dialing it out on you cable adjusters you could lose some range. I think you have roughly 3mm slack to play with if you want full range on the throttle slides. It is much easier to use a longer 3way splitter, but with patience and lots of checking you can use the original cable.
Your workshop looks nice.

Throttle to 3 way is going from top to bottom just a little tinkering with cables and adjuster but now pulling all the way open, nice and even and bottoming out on the idle adjusters with hardly any slack/free play on the throttle.. I do notice that although the slide is fully opening it seems the needle is still in the top end jet on WOT? is this normal? Needle clip is on the middle or 3rd clip position from top. The bike was set up & Dyno'd quickly with Mr Dent so should all be set up correctly but I do plan to get the bike fully dyno'd once run in. Maybe get better Ignition system at the same time for a few more HP.. Loads of smoke so seems nice and rich running in @ 300ml to 10 litres..

Awesome, I love the carbon cans, I fancy them for mine. Are the pipes chrome or polished stainless?

Yes the needle needs to stay within the top of the emulsifier tube to keep it located in the hole

First couple of short 1 mile breakin/shakedown rides done... MOT passed.. Now i just have to try and get the bike valued for the insurance company as they will only self cert under £10k and i am not sure what the market value would be on this, but they asked how much it would cost to build another not what the market value is.. Typically i am now busy for the next couple of weeks so no chance to get the bike out and break the engine in... 9E13B113-1D37-4B80-8A26-1233D98FF51A by mark morgan, on Flickr 90591C06-09B2-4085-A353-4EA484861D26 by mark morgan, on Flickr
