Hi guys, rear wheel has come back from the vapour blasters .... I left bearings in etc as didn’t think he’d need these out as no paint down there... maybe oversight on my part.... anyhows he’s stripped the wheel ... handed it me back ... but hasn’t given me the o-ring and also the collar ... which is located in the wheel hub on the sprocket side If the wheel! I’ve managed to source an o-ring but drawn a blank in the collar ...... and ideas guys? Appreciated

The collar is NLA, looks like a wanted ad is required.

It may be worth someone getting a drawing done with dimensions for this part...

Dudley Motorcycle Centre found me one for the front wheel somewhere in Europe even though it was NLA. Might be worth giving them a try as they can cross reference if part numbers have changed.

Why not ask the vapour blasters where it is?

If you get me the dimensions, I'll machine you one up on the lathe, assuming I have a bit of bar the right size kicking about.

Item No 4 is a "top hat" collar used to reduce the internal dia of the wheel bearing to suit the rear wheel spindle. The bearing that it fits has an I/D of 20mm, the LC rear wheel spindle dia is 15mm, the only unknown is the width/thickness of the top hat rim. OEB

OEB is correct and the "Top hat" part can be any width within reason, but from memory it is around 25mm, but the easiest way to know is simply measure the outside edge of the "inner race" on the carier bearing as the top hat part does not go over that width, if I get chance I'll measure a bearing, but a bit mad busy at the moment

I'm in oz and been looking for one for 6 months. Hard to come by. If this is the part I can measure it up tomorrow so you can get it machined.

That spacer/collar fits into the sprocket carrier bearing. OEB

Did you ever find the rear wheel collar? I've been looking for one too with no luck. I was considering using a different LH bearing with a 15mm ID thus avoiding the need for the elusive collar!
Cheers Angus

Here's the dimension details of the inner bearing collar... Overall length (Including Top Hat Thickness): 17mm / Sleeve Length (Excluding Top Hat Thickness) 13mm / Sleeve outer Diameter 20mm / Top Hat Thickness 4mm x 26mm Diameter / Inner Bore Diameter 15m m. Dimensions taken from one I've just removed whilst refurbing a wheel, Hope it's of some help...

Thanks, Brodski, it is helpful. I can't understand why these collars are so hard to come by. I'll just have to find a machine shop now. As I said I may opt for a bearing but with a 15mm ID thus negating the need for the collar?? Cheers, Angus
