That's a very selfless move, well done to you. But now you have made me think. I am full time carer for my Mum and if anything were to happen to me she would no doubt end up in a nursing home. The whole reason for me leaving my career was to avoid this, and now I am riding my bike again when possible to help relieve me from the anxiety and stress of looking after Mum. However safe we are as riders, it's the careless actions of other road users that could cause an accident. At this stage I have given up everything (other than the bike) to provide the quality of care my Mum deserves, and I will hold on to riding as along as I can. It is something I enjoy, and believe me I don't get many pleasures in life. Let's hope I stay safe. Best wishes to you and Mrs K

Thxs all , after all the back n forth to hospitals over the years its dawned on me if perish the thought I had a serious accident on a bike the good lady would be in a world of hurt ( she relies on me a lot ) So its with that I,m bowing outta m/cycles for good and selling all me parts better off watching from afar than not at all...Atb to everyone.. I can fully understand your reasons as family must come first, but as has been said elsewhere, even if you ditch riding, building bikes may be just the tonic and distraction you need. Keep those parts stashed away somewhere... you know you'll need em! All the best either way, what you are doing is both selfless and kind.

hi mr Kipling, maybe you'd consider looking at CBD oil it has very promissing results for those who suffer RA and cancers, thought it may be worth a look for your good lady, all the very best to you both, kind regards, dave

Feeling rather tense as the Good Lady prepares to go back into hospital tomorrow for the next knee replacement , at least we know what too expect but it doesn,t calm me nerves though as you never know what might crop up or happen......

Good news Mr K, glad all went well.
Need to split your time now with some TLC for Mrs K, and maybe a little less with your many projects for the mo.
Best wishes to you both
