I have Dusty. On my watch list! Can't understand how it works though, looks like it would just move about. Wracking my brain as to how we did it back in the day...I do recall lots of washers... Alex

Alex have you got a set of carbs yet? I have a spare set of 250 gamma ones, the clock cover is looking remarkably better than it did.

That jack up kit does not look like it would work, as you say... Look at the ones on the NKRACING website to see what they should look like.
You can use a 10W rear shock to get the back end up a bit. (Fitted to RD125LC and RD80LC).

A length adjustable shock can jack the back up a bit too. Dusty

Did some adding up today. I have all the receipts for every part I have bought...and then there are things I didn't include, like tyre fitting, paint, nuts and bolts etc. First receipt dated 5th April 2017. So far I have spent (gulp) £996.22
How on earth I managed to afford that is beyond me but I know there is a LOT more money to be spent. Engine...exhausts.

Good build on not a lot of money
Clutch switch is usually got to do with Side stand cut out
If you try and let the clutch out in gear with the stand down it kills the engine

Hi mate Why not mount the reg/rectifier in it's normal spot - mounts on the back of the battery box plate and not the front - fuse box goes on the front. Dusty

That just dawned on me Dusty. My LC now has 2 rectifiers on. I blame a lack of sleep and Donald Trump Alex

Bike is looking great Alex, amazing considering such a relatively small outlay. What about using ally sheet to fill the space under the seat if you are worried about heat?

That might be a good idea mate. I shall continue with my previous measurings. Not going to use any mudguards though so might not be an issue...if I finally get a decent nights sleep I might figure something out lol.

How does the cable contact inside the coil? Are there screw points like on the early Aircooled coils or just prongs?

Post by donkeychomp on Apr 13, 2018 23:14:21 GMT 1
Pete, I tried screwing it in but it is a prong after careful examination!
Dusty, a few bits of orange and black wire would be very handy!
