Perusing the web as you do on cold wet days, I came across a variation of a humble bike that everyone knows about, but just not the way it normally is. The humble Honda cub, or step thru, seems to have a bit of a cult following, in standard guise, or the one I like, stripped down customs, so you get something from this To these kind of things And as many variations on those as you can think of, might be just me, but I think they're pretty cool and fancy doing one .... just me?

I was going to build one, love the look of them. All the parts are available, including big bore engines, modified wide swinging arms etc etc. Decided against it in the end. Google "camphill chop shop "to look at more wild modified cubs.

The problem is that they are getting ridiculously expensive to buy in the first place. Years ago we put a Wanted ad in the local newspaper for a C50 and picked up 3 for nothing and went moped mayhem racing.

There is a club in Bristol called the BS13 club . They all ride modified cubs . They overtook me on my 4LO whilst on my way down to Weston one night .
I parked up beside them ; superb workmanship and imagination . They all run modified pit bike engines
