Nice project 👍. I'm tempted to put my ypvs engine in my rs250. What engine cradle do you have?

So I recently ordered a +4 hotrods stroker bottom end kit and santa obliged by dropping it off today for me ( most people get to open a prezzie on Xmas eve ) It comes with a gasket set designed to be used with Vertex pistons ..the base gaskets are the correct size too make the pistons n barrels sit flush with each other ... This I,m using to build a 385 cc motor , I,ll use it with my vertex stroker pistons that I have here along with brand new barrels etc...

So these are the barrels n pistons etc I,ll be using .. Once ive popped the crank in the cases I,ll pop on the pistons n barrels and measure up before sending barrels up to uncle Mick for tuning...This,ll be the engine I,m going to use in this build the other Mootah I,ll keep as a large paperweight...

So I,m sitting here after havin a few bevvies and start too think maybe I should turn this into a 421 and use the engine I just have sitting here after all I,d only need a new set of exhausts which I could nab from the other build...Mmm....

Personally I think it’s a shame to tune a NOS set of PV cylinders. They are not priceless, but definately worth big money to someone building a top notch bike.
Sell them to someone who wants this type of build, and it would probably pay for your proposed cylinders at least.

If so I’d be keen to hear your opinion of the fit. Mine was dire so I had to machine one with an internal thread. Jon

Jon Hi Jon , the pins are a nice snug press fit , easy to do on bare cases without the studs in place....Hth
