The club set to and started to strip the bike down ready for paint ect. 20170918_200049 by Mathew west - Flickr2BBcode20171002_205543 by Mathew west - Flickr2BBcode20171002_205535 by Mathew west - Flickr2BBcodeAs you can see its now in bits, thats 3 club evenings @ 2 hours a night. So not bad progress. Next job is to work out what is gonna go where. The owner wants to be able to take the bike to shows and help promote the youth club so he wants it to be the best quality possible. We have been thinking about polished fork lowers, polished swinging arm, polished foot rest hangers, loads of polished parts on the engine. Ect. Any input would be greatly appreciated

What a great idea. Good luck with the restoration. Further it is keeping the 2stroke LC icon going for future years with the younger generation, an issue that has been discussed in other posts.

I notice the centre stand brackets are ground off.
Are you going to replace them before painting.

Well some more progress,
The frame and other parts are back from the blasters, they have been collected this afternoon from the powder coaters, he has also taken the crank cases and head to vapour blast.
Yesterday i also collect the rebuilt crankshaft and the freshly bored barrles, new pistons and full gasket kit from Paul and the teams at PJME, again the quality and service is second to none, i cant recommend them enough.
The club will be back up and running at full pace next Monday 26th, hopefully the kids can start to rebuild the engine and some other bits.
Need to place a large order with Norbo once i have worked it all out.
Hoping to have a full rolling chassis by May as thats our first show.
Any recommendations for nice modern front disc's and bolt-on calipers, the plan is upgrades/ modifications but nothing that cant be put back.
Also need to find a standard set of lc clocks, gotta figure out the mess of wiring loom.
