Yes i will take part in the Rotterdam DGR. Yesterday i heard my job was cancelled in Singapore so i have one week to prepare these two bikes. Kees has now got his licence and will use this bike after it has been cleaned he will put some good panels on it. He's young so i wonder how long it takes for him to pull his finger out and start on it I will use this one but first i have to put a wiring loom on and some lights to make it road legal. I'm thinking of leaving it like it is, or put a metalic blue paint set on and polish the ally front guard slightly. I hope it stays dry wuckfit

I have now got some photo's from Kees. Now i can make a small report of the Rotterdam ride. We set off about 10 am in the morning towards Rotterdam and was only about 15 minutes into the ride when w came across two other similarly dressed gents on Harley Davidsons. We just waved and carried on. When we got to the meeting place we had to que up to get in and when you entered the meeting place first you had your photo taken against the sponsorers board.
It turned out there was around 450 people on all sorts of bikes one of the sponsor's was a coffee company so there was lots of coffee handed out and the atmosphere was very freindly. The meeting place was the Vanellafabriek which is famous for its architectral design.
Due to the amount of people that turned up we left in groups of 25. This was not to block all the traffic but after two sets of traffic lights we were all together again. Half way through the ride we stopped off at the old submarine harbour in Rotterdam. There was a black Hum Vee parked up and it was a mobiel DJ podium playing music and two very ladies giving out lots of Red Bull. After about half an hour three tug boats and a pilot boat turned up and put a show on for us. They started doing stunts and one started fired up the water cannons. If you have never seen tug boats showing off it can be quite a spectical. After all that Red Bull there seem to be people wanting sprint race me and Kees. The funniest was a man with a CX500 cafe racer who Kees put in his place and later he would not believe me when i told him the engine in the RD from Kees was a stock 250 engine (he thought it was a highly tuned 350 to be able to overtake him) We then drove back to the center of Rotterdam for some drinks and more chatting with everyone.
This is me and Kees trying to be dapper and laughing about the CX500
I know you lot like to see pictures of LC's but i only have this one. I really enjoyed the day out and i find it fun to dress up stupid for the day as i'm mostly in oily dirty clothing. Together we managed to raise just under 300 Euro's. Most of this was done by Kees. It was very well organised and the atmosphere was great. My only complaint would be to go a little further outside Rotterdam for a faster moving ride with less stop starting.

Thanks Carl i just love these bikes and i like to use them. It only take some small adjustments (usually bolt on) and they can be used for a lot of things almost like a "Jack of all Trades", but definately master of the Grin Factor
