Got to be 180mm Steve Steve do you have any pics of how the left pipe fits the frame ?
Do you have rubber isolators damping the exhaust ?
Just asked Kenny to do some 180mm carbon sleeves

Nice looking red rd, personally leave cans long they look fine to me but I will say do something with the rear mudguard that just looks wrong. Guess you will say only dry fitted and will be adjusted though. Looking good all the same will be nice when finished anyway.

Yes the rear mudguard may change :-) With the reg plate on though you don't see that much I don't like the recessed tail light either and I use that space for the 2 stroke bottles foe premix
Cans don't look too bad in pics but one is dented anyway (got it cheap) so needs to be changed , still want carbon though !

Stripping it back down for powder coating !
So I needed to tackle the German steering lock
Marked it up and drilled it and elongated the hole as the pin of the lock has flat sides
Got it spot on but found a problem DOH !
As it's an RGV steering stem I have had to mod, I think outside diameter of the stem is thinner than an LC one because the pin of the lock doesn't go deep enough
Only thing I can think of is to weld a thick washer on with an elongated hole ? The stem is thinner in the middle so the lower bearing will Passover , maybe keep it 3mm thick ?
Anyone have the OD of an LC steering stem please
The RGV one is 25.48mm

LC Stem = 29.5mm

That's the problem then !

This is how I hope to fix the problem Cut the same slot in a bit of tube , then shorten it, split it at the back and bend it round the stem and get it welded Any other ideas ? I think too the steering locks come in different lengths but finding the correct one would be hard

Thought I could just slit the back of the tube but the bearing wouldn't pass over that way , so chopped the sides off and now the bearing passing over is fine
Just need to get the fecker welded now !

Got it welded on , so onwards and upwards !
Basically it has just made the tube the same diameter as the LC one in the locking hole area

Fitted the lock and it works OK but have a bit of slop , as in the bars move side to side a bit with the pin locked
There is no play in the slot in the stem I cut, I was careful about that , but the play looks like it's in the key barrel as it sits in the frame
Don't know if I can fix that , or ask the powder coaters to coat inside the barrel hole on the frame to close the gap up LOL

Bollox Bollox Bollox ARGGGHH!!!!!
Seems I have lost one of my N K Racing Headlamp clamps to fit the RGV forks FFS
I had them anodised black too
Really hacked off, looked everywhere
So I need to ask Nigel if he can make one but then it will need anodising black to match the other 3 or do I get 4 made in bare billet alloy
I bet getting one done with anodising wouldn't be much less than 4 made ?
Will have to see but that is a bummer man :-(
