thanks minesatwin The seat unit is designed by a guy on this forum Kc104, I believe 1 off 3 only made but he would be able to tell you more. The rear swinging arm is from a later model RGV250 not my handy work I must say a guy called vinze187.

My first problem of probably many When compressing the forks there was a very distinctive grinding noise thought it might maybe be the bushes u/s but after stripping them down found my problem.........bloody loads of shot beads still left in them Apparently vinze had them polished and powder coated and they had been reassembled by these people also and obviously didn't care how they went back together So spent the past 2 hours cleaning ,cleaning and more cleaning and finally happy that it has all been removed, just need to order seals and bushes now Oh well the joys of bike building ;D

My second problem Can anyone help please!!!!! I ordered some new fork bush's for what I thought were rgv forks (upside down version) but the new top bush measure 5mm bigger (see picture) than the one removed! Has anyone stripped any rgv upside down forks and happen to have the old bush kicking around they could measure (long shot I know) Did the rgv change the fork bush for different models? Or do I have something like a GSXR400 front end? I have enclosed some pictures that may help! Any info would be greatly appreciated. Vin Or could it be simply they sent me the wrong bush? they say no! Norbo, I believe vinze bought these from you ,do you know what they came off? Vin

Not sure scott....i've been toying with the idea of Gibson's believe it or not there doesn't seem allot of choice about!! Mick abbey ones people can't seem to get him to make um Nikon's are not made anymore because of E-bay Jim Lomas pipes apparently make it difficult to set the carbs up I don't like the all speed look (only my opinion ;D) Mr Kimber is sorting out his prices! Not sure if microns are still available too buy So I'm a little stuck other than Gibson's unless anyone else has an idea or better still can sell me a pair of nice ones ;D Oh and been toying with the idea of the standard F2 pipe silencer conversion So any ideas and help would be greatly received

like u say m8 i only know of gibsons and the pipes thro ebay. think i'm gunna try an f2 conversion,iv'e saw some nice carbon cans off rgv's afew times on ebay so was get apair of them and get me brother to weld em on for me saves payin nk racings prices.i got a price off nk for the f2 conversion but can't remember if it was £150 for the 1 or 2 to be done

That's probably the best idea The silencer conversion for the F2 pipes costs £35 per pipe plus whatever your choice of silencer starting at £150 a pair at NK's Not sure exactly what it entails but I'm going to chop up an old pair of F2 pipes I have and have a practice run then if happy blag a good pair off my brother ;D trouble is he's so tight he squeaks when he walks only joking bro if you read this I'll keep you posted scott

Just having a little picture withdraw symptoms so thought I should post some more of my own Engine's been rebuilt ;D some piccies of a bargain I picked up ;D ;D crank appears to be OK and one barrels on standard bore and the other .25 a clearer piccie of the stainless brake pistons and powder coated calipers ;D And a couple clutch cover conversions ;D your right tonkatoy easy peasy just need powder coating hey Kc ;)not sure if I will keep the bit with the drilled holes yet just wanted to try and be a bit different The bare metal one is for my rd/rgv bike that I plan to run pre-mix hence no pump and the work removing the metal around the pump and the other for my red rd/fzr bike. Better pictures hey pabs didn't have the camera set properly
