Hi everyone, the clib hasnt made anymore progress on the RZ250RR project as financially things are tight plus the jobs left to do are rebuilding the engine then carbs then check all the electrics.
Anyway i had a message from Paul at PJME a few weeks back and we arranged that i would drive over on Tuesday the 23rd and collect the rebuilt crankshaft and other bits and have a look around his workshop ect and see what stuff the team get upto.
Well i arrived just after 2pm and i walked in to a friendly hello. The lad went and gave Paul a shout. Paul came and met me and invited me in,
The first stop was the clean/rebuild area, wow i have never seen so many barrels and crankshafts in one place, it was like Aladdins cave. Paul opened up a large box and started to show me all the rebuilt and reconditioned parts for the clubs engine. I was speech less to say the least.
There was the fully rebuilt crankshaft, the only parts from the original crankshaft was the 2 end parts with the threads on everything else has been renewed.
Both barrels have been board and honed and both have been decked to make sure they are level.
A new set of pistons with rings ect both maked up to what barrel the should go in.
A fall Athena gasket kit.
New P.V seals and O-rings
Crankshaft seals and gearbox seals.
Plus in the box there was all the old parts so i can show the kids what has been changed and the wear marks ect.
Well after i picked myself up of the floor Paul and i got talking and the tour began. I was blown away with the machines and equipment they have in there workshop, i was definitely like a kid in a toy shop.
I got to see all different stages of the work that PJME carry out. I got some handy tips and tricks from Paul, i got to see quite a collection of parts and bikes they have.
Wow is all i can say. Despite what people read and say good or bad i can honestly say that Paul is 100% genuinely a top bloke and he has an amazing wealth of knowledge and experience.
I can hand on my heart say i would recommend Paul and PJME for your engine work. I will use Paul for all future club bikes and any of my personal bikes.
I will get some photo's up on here as and when. Sorry its a long read but i need to explain how happy i am with paul and everyone at PJME.
Thanks
