Looking good, the youngsters will get a lot out of this. So much better than these modern scooter things as well.

Yeah its nice for them to have the chance of working on classic bikes even better is that all the projects have been 2 strokes.
Was donated another bike to do as the next project another 2 stroke. 1983 Honda H100.
Another update, the tank sealer was all dry this morning and it looks like it has covered all the inside of the tank with a level layer so i contacted the painter and he collected the tank this evening.

I reckon that looks pretty good dent wise compared to what most of us have had to start with.
Great build, I always look forward to the updates on this.
Good on you for what you are doing.

Yeah that would be good, shame most of them will probably never have the chance to own a 2 stroke let alone enjoy the feeling of the power band kicking in,
But giving some insight into a disappearing major part of motorcycle history is a nice thing to be able to do.
Shame 2 strokes will never really rejuvenate

Well last nights club was a bit full of up and downs. I heard from the painter and he is hoping to get the bodywork back to use by next monday, Witch made everyone happy. The kids finally got the engine stripped and every seemed good until i spun the bearings on the crank, 3 out of the 4 main bearings are noisy and there seems to be a little bit more play in the big end bearings than i would be happy with. So that being a bad bit we carried on, got the carburettors stripped ready to be cleaned. The kids also got one bit of plastic each and they started flattering then down and prime them up. Oh and one last bit we was pressing the exhaust hanger bushes out of the footrests and they both cracked. New ones now needed. The parts needed list is growing 😂

Hi everyone, today we received a brand new looking oil pump from the famous Arrow. Wow you would be hard pressed to tell the difference.
His workmanship is outstanding highly recommended for your oil pump reconditioning. Thanks mate.
Also a bit of an update, more for the club than this bike but i have now brought an industrial oven and im in the process of setting up a powder coating setup,
*A- to try and reduce my outlay of getting bits coated,
*B- to allow the kids to learn some more skills.
We already have a media blasting cabinet so potentially a part can be blasted and coated in one evening, (2 hours the club is open for).
Anyway more when it happens

Hi everyone a few updates before this evenings club. I have been chatting to Paul from pjme and he has offered to help the club out by sorting the crank and the barrels. www.pjme.co.ukI will be heading up to boris blasting on Tuesday 28th to have the complete engine vapour blasted and then the barrels and crank will head over to paul for him to work his magic. www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100011695752161No paint work back this week as i was originally told as the painter couldn't use the booth over the weekend, more updates on thay when i know more. I am trying to get the kids to get the bike complete less the engine by the end of April as the first show is on the 6th May. So we still have a few weeks but loads to do. I am still blown away with the warm welcome i have felt from this forum and peoples generosity. It really is making this project move along at a great pace.

Hi surprised you going that far for the blasting, I think I'm going to have a drive over to this lot and get a set of mine done, fairly close to you as well.(unless you've heard bad things?) www.aquablast.uk.com/We was sponsored by Cambridge aqua blasting and they do an amazing job but they are so busy. boris blasting has offered to help on this project. I have had some pictures from the painter and the front mudguard is nearly done, 2 more coats of clear needed, hopefully tomorrow he will be working on the white bits.

Yeah the painter is good, not been painting to long but he does a good job. This evenings club was busy, had kids rushing about, some where flattening the black plastic parts and re priming them, others where fitting new bits and running the wiring loom, others where prepping bits for next week. Things are getting there, still need to try and sort out some tyres and new disks, got to go collect the swinging arm, cush drive, rear light bracket, headlight rings then they can be fitted. Thanks
