Very nice indeed, are the pipes a top end power pipe or a general good spread of power type? Sorry, just noticed this! Pipes are for midrange Mouse

( p.s all I ask for is a coffee n return ) Hello Mr Kipling that is a really generous offer, thanks. I have no chance to do anymore until Saturday. The plan is: get some new plugs, clean the paint off the frame for the coil earth, kick her over a few times with plugs out (to clear any excess fuel out) then hopefully she will start!! If all the above fails, i will take you up on your offer, if that is ok? You can have as much tea/coffee as you like! Many thanks, that really is a great offer and it is nice to know that help is at hand Mouse

In the meantime, having spent all that time repainting the throttle switchgear, the back of the case has a crack in it (i thought the paint/lacquer would seal it!). Would you have one without any road rash i could buy and repaint? It is 31k switchgear and i need the back of the throttle side, the bit that the throttle cable fits into not the side with the switches. Many thanks Mouse

Mouse when you first started this thread i really hoped you wouldn't ruin a nice lc2, imo the best looking lc after a 4LO obviously, however what you have done is a real credit to you and I think looks lovely, well done sir.

Veg, I couldn't have put it better, my sentiments exactly. Mouse, every choice has been perfect - I'm struggling to think of a better LC2 hybrid, but I also put Yogi's blue PV in the same bracket. You've created a stunning bike- well done

Hello Veg, many thanks for your comments. This bike can always be returned to a standard 31k as i have all the parts and nothing has been cut off the frame. Mouse

Wow, thanks Mark, really appreciate that. Still got more to do, get her running! sort side stand issue, fit front brakes and hoses, sort rear caliper issue plus some other small bits. The thing with these bikes is, you build what you like for yourself, you should only have to please yourself. You are never going to get everyone liking the same thing, that is the beauty of all the bikes on this forum, some of the bikes on here i love, but some are not my cup of tea at all, which is fine, but what i think about someone else's bike is not really important as long as they like their own creation. All the bikes on here are as individual as their owners. There are some outstandingly clever and creative people on here and i am stunned by some of the things people achieve. I guess just do what you want/like, there is no rulebook to follow, just your own vision, cheque book, imagination. I had a massive itch to scratch in building this hybrid and i have been fortunate enough to do it. I always have a battle with, 'is it worth it', 'how much will it cost' etc. But I think if you have the opportunity, just go for it! You don't want to regret not doing it, when you could have done. It is always really nice to get positive comments from others and much appreciated All the best Mouse

Spot on mouse, how boring would it be if we all built the same bike. Like you some i love some I'm not so keen on, that is just a personal thing. What i can and do appreciate though is the amount of head scratching and effort that goes into these builds. As i say a lovely looking bike.

So, day 7 of the rebuild. Was all fired up this morning to get her running, cleaned paint off the frame for a good earth, fitted new plugs (can't hurt) and we were ready. Switch on, kick...NOTHING still!! Arrrrrrrrgh. Tried different plug caps, tried the old ignition switch, tried the coil from my 4LO hybrid...NOTHING, no spark. Fiddled with the repainted switch gear (kill switch) Poked and prodded everything...Nowt This is ceasing to be fun! So i'm sitting there thinking, a couple of you suggested i re-check the wiring, Pah, connecting the blocks is easy, I'm not an idiot! But i rechecked it anyway and found a black 4 pin connector near the battery, what the hell is that?? Oh...behind another block connector (that i had tidied up!!) is the other black 4 pin connector! Now which IDIOT didn't connect that! Ooops! so i connect them and... ...we have a spark! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! Plugs back in, pause and pray a bit, switch on and kick PHUUT, third kick she fires! I DON'T BELIEVE IT Bit of choke and she settles in to a steady tickover, two is pumping, tickover is perfect, RELIEF
I ran her up to temperature and all seems fine.
Made some brackets to mount the fairing at the bottom, as i have a pattern fairing but it does not have the bulge at the bottom where the hinge part goes. They may not be pretty but they work for now
And here is where i am now, (bit of a teaser pic!) i love this view of her
Still have bits to do, fit belly pan, some plank ordered the wrong size bolts! Make brackets for number plate, fit brakes and hoses, sort rear caliper and sidestand, but SHE RUNS!!!! Massive thanks to Dusty, Yogi, Yamark and Mr Kipling, you are all stars

In fact on more than one occasion I've seen something done in a certain way that I've really liked, and incorporated into my own builds either exactly the same or slightly different. Perhaps I might not of thought of doing it that way, and have been pleased,of the inspiration. Jon
