Thanks dusty it was worth it, not many magnesium race wheels in 18 inch so pretty rare , just worked out what else I have to do before I can even get the motor started but it will be worth it.

Thanks to Trubrit for the motor build and this can now move forward. Its in the frame got new stainless brackets from Norbo and bolts from NK. Parts have arrived from Fondseca for the cooling system, rear brake reservoir to be fitted NK racings HRC kit, body work is away being painted to look like an Akai Yam from 82/83 all going well at the moment.

Just need to decide on pipes, then get it running oh and get a Koso speedo and tacho, rewire it, get the brake hoses made, sort the coolant system, get the bodywork back, sort the chain and sprockets etc etc etc but I can finally see where I am going with it. The only thing I am thinking is a change to twin discs and maybe FZR 400 forks RWU with a set of Marchesini 5 spoke 18 in wheels and I quite fancy having a mechanical anti dive made for it.

I love the look of the top end much much better than a shiny Cool Head. Will it be hiding behind a fairing? I want an engine with a dry clutch just for the brutish look.

Do they need a lot of cooling? I have been toying with the idea of converting a standard side cover because i dont like the water pumps so much

Spoken to kimber about my mechanical anti dive that will be done over the winter having read up on it it appears to be quite a good system

Veg, you've got to be happy with that paintwork. It's the best version of the Akai paint scheme I've seen. Great choice

Thanks mark took me ages to decide it's not completely accurate but my interpretation. The painter has done the tank in a dark metal grey to match the carbon panels and included the bazza signature on the tank. I am happy that it highlights the carbon hopefully without being to blingy.
