Nice project...What swing arm is that?. I have a 4l0, putting f2 forks on, keeping original clocks and wheels, not sure what to do with the back end.. Cheers

Very nice work - I'm new here but what's the largest tire you can fit in that metmachex swing arm? Love the astralites and lookheed lookalikes - takes me back!

Change of plan, i am going for wire wheels with gold rims, having spoken to Trubrit helped me decide. I did consider Campags but at £1800 plus fittings I had to have a word with myself. I think it is a 130 that can just fit the swing arm. Just waiting for bits to come back from Nick Chambers. Got my AP lockheed look a like Grimecas and master cylinder, got my Gully seat and a new White Power rear shock.TDR rear hub on its way and once I have a front hub its off for wheels to be made to fit then off for lacing up. New TZ discs and adapter plates for the callipers. I don't have the facilities to mill or turn so I am reliant on others to do this.

I was going to put spoked wheels on my LC, I had a look at Kineo, but I don't think they do them in sizes that would fit properly. I'm also struggling to get TDR hubs as you know, they're pretty thin on the ground.

I spoke to Talon to see if they would make a set of one off bespoke hubs, they no longer do them and the only hub that is a twin disc is for a KTM 990 which will be too wide. Struggling to find someone to make them.If i get lucky I will let you know.

Bespoke hubs would be silly money though, my old KTM Talon wheels cost me loads (about £600 if I remember correctly) and that was almost 10yrs ago. My 350LC has a TDR125R front wheel on, with a single disk and TZR2502ma caliper, it's easily powerful enough, so you could get away with single disk no problem. I've asked my mate in Japan to have a look around for me, when they come up there they're normally really cheap, a full wheel is normally about £50, but there are none about at the moment.

They do, I am trying to retain Yam parts were possible as I am fitting tz discs, if I can't get a suitable one i will look at other makes, the BMW hubs look quite a bit bigger than yam ones i am also trying to keep weight down. ideally It would be a tz hub as I am going to fit an electronic speedo and tacho but in the lc clock surrounds.

So managed to get an xs650 front hub, and the TDR250 rear hub has arrived but obviously it is too wide for my metmachex swinging arm, so now i need to speak to Nigel Kimber about what can be done and whether I get him to build me a one off or he adapts the metmachex which I thin is unlikely, when he gets back from his holiday. Never was going to be easy.

Veg, just a thought, but why don't you get Nigel to modify an arm for you rather than build from scratch or modify the Metmachex?
Sell the Metmachex to fund it (as you've hinted in another thread).
He did a 2MA one for me. The wider TZR wheel with 3.5 rim fits fine.
I believe the TDR to be the same swingarm?
Everything would slip straight in and line up, including caliper and bracket with the disk, rear wheel spindle etc.

All change again. Met Nigel Kimber today to decide on the direction of my build and ended up buying some wheels from him. Going to use my metmachex swing arm, and go single disc so will be selling some more parts again soon. Have also sent off my Guiliara seat to have a cover made. The company doing it are borrowing the seat as a pattern to start offering new covers. Waiting on the return of other parts from RD bitz so I can finally start building the bike.

So spent past few days building and cleaning, fitted new or refurbed everything , ordered more stuff as well as arranging my motor to be built by Mick abbey as well as my pipes thanks to Yamark for that, trying to source a good painter, and still waiting for NK to finish my wheel fitment and get my swing arm and wheels in place progressing nicely.
