this is a timely thread..... checking over my lc earlier this week i noticed only one of these damper washers on left front... i promptly ordered a pair from norbo.....i have a 4mm gap between engine block and frame bracket on front right of engine..... this dont seem right to me..... my haynes manual is very vague on this and does not show any damper washers at all.....
surely that 4mm gap on right hand side is not correct ?

The anti vib washer fills the gap on the sides as previously stated & prevents the motor twisting anticlockwise, as viewed from above, thus helping to alleviate stress on the exhaust mounting flanges. What it be beneficial to fit 4 ? You only need 2 to stop it twisting under tension from chain when giving it the beans 🙈
