Hi Iwantalc,
Sorry, didn't see this until this morning.. I was there, always go to Kempton as it's close and local. The show adds another aspect to it and there's always some nice kit on display. Not many LC's there this time but quite a few X7's for sale..

Hi I went - I wasn't going to originally as I was coming off nights, plus we had a late shout, but I got home and realised I needed some stainless bolts to progress my rebuild. It was packed as I didn't get there till 10.40. Kempton rarely has Lc/Ypvs parts, but there were a few bits and bobs for sale. Did see a stunning Tz250 which I would have loved to own, plus 2 or 3 X7's for sale by the same seller.

Hi Des I often go to Kempton as it's just up the road from me, but it's never good for Lc/Ypvs spares unfortunately, usually brit stuff and various Jap big bike parts. The guy you saw selling the panels is sometimes there - last time I saw him he had a fair bit more Lc parts - spose he sold some of them ! Hope you are well mate and enjoying the bike Regards Dusty

Hi Reg! The Tz was the best bike there by a mile - absolutely beautiful Do you know how much he was asking ? I daren't ask !! I would love to own a bike like that - I'd throw the Tv out and look at that every evening instead !! I've always vowed to own a Tz one day but the prices are rising quite high now. Would be an investment I think but not sure if the missus would agree Be good to catch up next time it's on - probably around July/August time . Regards Dusty

Dusty,
It was 10K or very near offer... Only done a few hours on the engine after total rebuild. has some history as it was bought for the TT early 80's.

Hi Des Back is holding up - just- thanks. I only decided to go at the last minute otherwise we could have arranged something. The build is coming on, I stripped the clocks for cleaning tonight and they are now back on the bike. I'll have to update my build thread, it's starting to look a bit more complete now. Think I am going with the Lc engine, which I will need to have a look at. Don't know whether to sell the Ypvs lump and electrics and plough some cash into the Lc engine - still thinking about that ! I have a 350 master cylinder that now wont fit due to the resited clocks. It was a fairly new one off Norbo I believe. If your mate needs one I can post a pic at some point. Regards Dusty

Those of you that went, did you see the hybrid R1/RD500 that the guy had on the stand that was selling the side panels....? A nice idea but it was going to need some very serious work before it was going to be near finished... It looked a bit scruffy unfortunately.... especially for the £4.5K he was after for it....

Yep, I saw it, as you say, lots of work/money before that was finished. Would have made a nice special though Dusty
