Just putting out the feelers to see if anyone on here gets up to rykas? I'm not fussed on the grub tbh but it seems a big meeting place for bikers. I hope to get there eventually when I get my bike done and given it a good shakedown ride.
I hail from Chichester on the south coast, I have a mate with a 31k and another lc so hoping to organise a meet up darn sarthe. Theres a few good events on which I'll post up nearer the time but one is Chichester college bike show (in the car park of the college) past events have seen lots of retro Jap bikes there which is great and it's in the summer so fingers crossed weather-wise... Also an event called ride 2 Chi is a good event

Don't you mean Newlands corner nikfubar. Boxhill did ok food 25 years ago. I used to have a massive burger and then go home for a huge roast aswell.

Yeah probably the car park with a café at the top of the hill near Guilford, always packed with cars & bikes, great view point & the food is the best. Also go to Loomies, that's a good ride, but if you want to avoid the old bill the best place to go is Rye harbour café, the roads are much quieter & not crawling with cops

I used to live nr Guildford so always at Boxhill and Newlands Corner. Great fun nailing it between Leatherhead and Dorking, got done by a helicopter in 1989, just not cricket I felt at the time. Funniest thing was down the copshop they were all laughing about a Japanese bloke they picked up that morning for swinging a samurai sword at theatrical stage heads in a misty wood nearby. An old lady reported it walking her dog thinking it was the real thing!

Hi I used to go to Box Hill all the time back in the 80's and it was great. Everyone would get on top of the mound by the car park and watch the loons racing and wheeling up and down the road. Then the Police cracked down and it became a bit sanitised. Probably 15 years since I last went on a Sunday. I would be up for it again if anyone fancied it Dusty

How about this Sunday ? There's the Pioneer Brighton Run (pre 1940's) starting from Tattenham Corner (Epsom Race Course) which a few of us will be going to watch all the bikes set off first thing, then dunno where we'll be heading but Boxhill and Newlands are as good as anywhere . We'll be out riding around whatever, so just a thought. Gonna be dry but cold supposedly

Me and the misses should be down Boxhill late morning tomorrow for a Tea and a Toasted Teacake.
Possibly onto Newlands Corner after.
I'll be on my grey Hybrid LC and the misses on her red/white R1-Z.

Damn I should have gone, maybe next time Keep your eyes on the post, when we're going I'll post it up (we normally go once or twice a month in the Summer). You gotta take your chances when the weather is good, if you try and arrange a specific date it WILL be raining....
