Hey Norbo found that gallery pic (the one marked beautiful 350 right ?). The F2 pipes do look nice on an LC, and it did have a belly pan so presumably it fiited OK. Anyone else done this and can remember how it ran ? Worthwhile mod or not ? I think as long it don't lower performance I might give it a go, even if it's purely cosmetic.

How'd it run, did you notice any change in performance ? Presumably you mean that the end cans were level with the rear spindle ? Was that a problem ? Seemed like a good idea, maybe not eh ?

They are long. and heavy but i didnt notice them being any worse then the lc standard ones . but i dont recal them being any better just the same . They may be long but i think they looked better then lc ones .

the cans came level with the tyre on the wheel couldnt tell you about performance its got a pv motor in so it was standard running to the engine

Would I be able use standard LC hangers, or would the upsweep of F2 pipes foul the end of the hangers ? Been looking at gallery pics on various sites but can't decide. Norbo? Wiggy ? Anyone ?

you can use the Lc hangers ,but you will have to re drill the hole on the chamber rear mount.
also you shouldn't need to re-jet

Right, think I'm with you Not going to do this til winter so I've got time to look for a decent set at sensible money. But if anyone comes across a set, give me a shout. Probably find I'll have to refurb an OK set.

I HAD A GOOD SET BUT NEVER FITTED THEM EVEN HAD THEM CAUSTIC SODA TREATED,I FITTED THEM UP BUT DECIDED THE END CAN WAS TO LARGE AND THEY SEEMED TO FLARE OUT AT THE BACK RATHER THAN PARRALEL WITH THE REAR TYRE.A GOOD MOD WOULD BE TO CUT THE REAR CONE AND PUT A SMALLER STINGER ON.

I agree with munch. They do stick out a little at the back, but they are still better then standard lc pipes . But munch has a good point about the end cas you can get mr kimber to do it for you its a standard thing he has done before .

The f2 pipe does work very well as they are so it can only work better i would think and sound better. But its not a cheep mod is it .

They are actually quieter than standard Lc pipes remembering to that these are factory de-tuned chambers, they are governed by flow reducers internally look like donuts. Now if you remove them ie cut of the last cone and knock em out with a long screwdriver, then reduce the stinger to around 20-25mm you would have a way better chamber than standard.

These F2 pipes seem even rarer than 4L0 pipes. Very few about, and most of them in pretty awful nick. Perhaps they were lower build quality originally, so haven't lasted as well ?

No they are as good build quolity but becourse they stick out at the back they get rashed all the time even in a light crash. I have loads with rashed cans but it is hard to fined a good set un marked . Becourse of the faring people dont clean down the down pipes so they do seem to get a far bit of corashon on them lc pipes get wiped down after a ride out i fined cos they are simple to get to .

These F2 pipes seem even rarer than 4L0 pipes. Very few about, and most of them in pretty awful nick. A very nice set went for ££££ssss yesterday on e-bay, couldn't touch em. The problem is the end cans on OKish sets. The pipes themselves will just need lots of elbow grease, but what do you about dented & scuffed end cans ? Anyone ever restored a set of cans ? or know somewhere/one that can do it ?

Nigel Kimber can put his own end cans on F2 pipes and they do look smart.
