any one remember this: i would love to be able to match it (even beat it but somehow i doubt it), i would be happy to know the hybrid could reach a genuine 100mph...........we can all dream can't we ;D ;D

My old 125 did a good 115 may be a bit over but it was a 175 and ran Nos as well as a tz carb and custom pipe with tz 350 end can.

My old 125 did a good 115 may be a bit over but it was a 175 and ran Nos as well as a tz carb and custom pipe with tz 350 end can. technically not a 125 anymore (175cc)

that red mk1 looks cracking with that fairing and bars,in its day(1985) it must have been a flying machine.

that red mk1 looks cracking with that fairing and bars,in its day(1985) it must have been a flying machine. in its day?!?, even today (if it was still around) it would piss over all and any 125 i recon. if you read the complete article it had a number of special one off tuning parts taken from a tz 125 or made especially for that bike, (including a one of micron). shame it was slightly detuned to be given away in the competition as it was a bit of a time bomb.

It may still be out there some where . No doubt in bits or broke up but you never know could be on the road being thrashed around by some 17 year old .

yeah the more i look at article the more i want to hurry up and get another tzrrideing a crappy 4 stoke 125 just aint the same as hearing that ypvs motor spinning up when you turn that key ahhhh , soon soon

its in performance bike May 1985 , they also tune a mbx125f and a AR125LC for comparison magazine has BMW K100RT,YOSHIMURA CB250RS,GPZ750,LTD450. all pages present including the entry form to win the bike. a bit musty from storage in shed. yours for £3.50 inc post steve

the idea was to get a faster 125 by using an 80cc frame (20kg's lighter for a start). or you could put a 350 lc/ypvs motor into the 125 lc frame even a tzr 125 motor into the lc frame, dont need a lighter weight bike to get faster, i run a 32mm carb to save skimming the fly wheel, if i wanted to i could tune the motor that much a con rod kit would only last 3 days done this 14 years ago when messing about with con rods kits and piston kits when my lc motor was in my mz 125 ts luxus frame
