What even more shocking is is still available from Yamaha dealers for £143.34. Now I can see people asking what they want (within reason) for a NLA part as it’s supply and demand. But that? Jon

Firstly both the clutch cover for LC and YPVS are still available @ £40.12 and £58.68 respectively. I saw this for sale today @ £83.99 + £15.76 delivery. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165583662816?hash=item268d8e2ee0:g:H-8AAOSwO7hi1KuRNow the Yamaha prices are well over the top IMO, but not only is this overpriced, but the dishonest chancers have hidden the part number of what looks to be an LC cover, and listed it as the more expensive YPVS cover. I see. Useless junk for nearly £1k. Still have all the NOVA hassle, dating and MOT too. The asterisks are hilarious, as are the double stamps. Possibly the worst I’ve seen in a long while. Jon

People have criticised this thread in the past saying if your not going to buy it why winge about it.
That wasn’t the point. It was to shame those greedy bar stewards that hoped to get one over someone else not in the know.
Well perhaps I’m wrong, but the last two items have changed after posting. Coincidence?
The frame is NLA and the headlight bowl is down to £80.

Wow, thats great to know that some sellers are reading this and reacting positively. well done.
ok, yes 80 quid still isnt the cost if importing one, but its not that much more than if you needed it quickly and didnt want the hassle of ordering and having to deal with the post etc that you'd just buy it instead. The price of connivence etc. Worth it to some. Defo not at 165, but 80 is possibly doable.

Eddie is usually good on stuff but won't be looking at USA prices I buy a lot off him and remember he has 20% fees as a business seller Yes it is only £25 from the USA but they want £50 post so it soon becomes £75 unless you buy a few to punt onward which is why I was knocking them out for £50 each a while ago. Other problem is that as soon as you go over £200 UPS want 20%vat paid before delivery I cancelled my last order after they were on back order for 3 months Also not that makes much difference as I don't know what changed the part number ends 00, not the 01 of the superseded part so yes that one is NLA The real shame should be on Yamaha UK who have put a shocking price on them Steve

Depends where buy from Steve, not every seller wants so much to post. As I said its not awful at 80, but 165... er...
And do agree on the back order vs buy it now thing, thats what i was saying above
Agreed Yam UK take the piss with parts prices like this. no need for it. Same with shift shafts and so many other parts.

Seems a shame that Yamaha here in the UK charge that price for the headlight bowl - but £165 is still cheap compared to Yamaha UK ,and a bargain on eBay. Yes you could order from the USA and wait ,but some people want it yesterday after ordering today. Charges would be applied at customs etc etc... I personally think that after the seller, possibly seeing this post they then decided to drop their price just to satisfy the members in here is a bit off - it was cheaper compared to Yamaha after all..... Not meant to offend anyone - just my point of view... Steve ....

Brand new, never had petrol in it. I bought it on here a year or so ago, from India. It cost me £230.00 with the import duty, but, in the end, I never used it. These are known for not being the greatest quality and it sometimes need a tweak to fit properly, but it might help someone out. While he is being honest to an extent I suspect the word “sometimes” is a bit tongue in cheek, and that he is trying to pass this on to someone not in the know without any comeback. I think it should read: I was mugged off into buying this tank from India as I didn’t know any better. It doesn’t fit properly so I didn’t use it. Maybe someone will give me close to my money back who’s not in the know? No returns as I hinted it may be crap in my description. Jon

He sounds like a bit of a 'Dell Boy', reading the 'blurb' in his descriptions (all capitals!), it seems like he learned his sales skills on a market stall, and I just don't get why he posts those memes in the photo streams. This quote for a GT125 he has for sale made me laugh though "VERY RARE 1979 SUZUKI GT125 THESE WERE ONE OF THE BEST 250 BIKES OF THE 70'S / 80'S" so what was it then? a 125? or a 250? and one of the best from 2 decades of fevered 2t development? do me a favour. I wouldn't buy anything from him on principle.
