Wot you after? it will have to be a one-lunger as a twin wont fit. Cant think of many 250 2squeaks that aint from some sort of motorcross/enduro bike. I would look for a DT/TZ 125 and get it bored out (200cc) and alter the gearing to suit. A good 125 should easily crack a ton so with a tweek it should be a little rocket.

i dont think theres one that will drop straight in bry...might be better off buying a 250/350 to start with unless your set on using the 125

I would still go for a modern engine mate, apparently tuned RD 125's are a bit fickle to say the least. Sayin that, I dont know for sure. Ask uncle Norbs about the 125 tuning as he knows his way around them.

Hi bryzy100,Can i ask you why you want a 250 in the trusty old 125 frame .The 125 frame is crap and only just handles a non restricted 125 motor{fact}The old RD 250 would take a 400 motor as the frame was the same as the Rd 125 with a 200 motor but what you want to do is not a goer from the start mate{SORRY}.The reason is the Torque,it does funny things with the frame IE.... BENDS IT :-Xand if your wheels aint in a true line you kill yourself end of lesson 8-)Want more power out of a very good engine ask the Boss Norbo he knows what you need and No they dont blow up if you look after them.Im testing MY 125 at the mo and its putting out serious power on the bench and it done 20 plus hours at full welly.AS NORBO SAYS CHOP YOUR PLUGS GIRLS this will tell you before you hear it start to go wrong.I plug chop every time i ride my bikes and 5 mins dont hurt. What im saying is that a RD125LC can go very fast ,faster than the frame is good for.If you want a 1 off try a Cheap taxi on a friday night ;D.This is MY veiw and go with a 250 in the 125 frame if you must but !!before you ride it GET LIFE INSURANCE. Hope this helped you m8
