what size pistons do i need for barrels that mesaure 65mm chaps,

there's apair on ebay at the moment,0.5 oversize,shall keep me eye on em.me bike shop round ar way can do me 2 pistons,pins,rings,circlips & small ends for £100 .is this any good.

what size pistons do i need for barrels that mesaure 65mm chaps, standard bore size is 64mm...65mm would be 1mm oversize... piston should be marked +1.0mm

cheers pablo,only bin measurin with a crap b & q tape.would it be best to get them measured properly.thinkin about it,it looked more like 64.5mm so this would be 0.5 oversize,is this wright.

You need to get them sized right first. You dont want to get pistons quorter mill to small or big do you.

if anything you should recruit a good machine shop and have them measure then hone the bores to properly suit the pistons...dont forget to chamfer the ports slightly afterwards...some places do this for you...most dont...give the rings a easier life

dunno mate...they do all sorts of bore plating nowadays though...ceramics too...google it ...you wont be able to see the chrome once youve built the engine you know ;D ;D ;D
