I have an older Italian four stroke that has a real power band... nothing much below 4 grand then between 4 and 5 grand it changes note, becomes a different engine, it screams and pulls from 5 to 9 grand, revs fast and feels like a two stroke.
Not all four strokes are boring
Regards Gavin

Early air cooled gsxr750 I owned, power from 5 grand then light switch from 10500 to 12000. Awesome fun. The fuel injection makes more power with a flat torque curve, but seem boring in comparison.
