Hi all i am new to air cool bike all my knowledge is to stat again as I know nothing about the air cool side I've just got an rd250? Engine and frame r the same 1a2 399400 not been on the road for about 15 years or so its in bits iv never done one as bad but I'm looking forward to it so I may need some help from u all as all my other rd r lc when I pick up the bike I will get some photos up of it I went through some of the bits and the cylinder have had a rebore and new pistons so a +to start with so I will keep u all informed cheers

I like the yellow ones a lad at work had a new one in 1979 when I had a Honda Dream (god knows what brought that on !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may be an idiot as I may use yellow for it and ny lc as well Is there a full stop missing after the idiot bit ? and you could remove the "as" reads alot more like the person I met. Ha |

Hi, The aircooled range are great bikes, I've had lots over the years. The engines are very like the Lc but without the water cooling system, so even simpler to rebuild. The aircooled forum is a great resource for info , as is this forum as I'm sure a lot of guys here own, or have owned aircooled Yams. Sounds a good price too. You'll need to get some pics up when you get it Dusty  |

Nice price stfcus it was the same with me a bike came at the right price, like you i knew jack shit about air cooled bikes but in fairness i've really enjoyed doin the homework find details etc. Put some pics up and first find out what bike you have and what model, mine was a bit of a mix match ie different wheels etc. the aircooled forum is a great help as well.
As its been said you'd be surprised how lc owners have air cooled so you'll get lots of help here as well
