very good Steve lol
Tho I still chuckle about norbo,s comment when I'm working on it.
I've marked out the other cone for cutting so not far away now then I can finish welding it up and make a bracket

I think it'll work fine. It'll sound badass, too. It's amazing how much better an RD sounds when having a proper chamber with no sound dampening bulls*it in it. My RD sounds almost like a motocross bike hehe.

Looking good, years ago i got hold of a rough micron and reduced that center section by 2 inches, moved the power up the rev range and peak revs big time,

Rob I took the liberty to run your pipes through the very accurate software I use and these are your pipe in pic form and the predicted power curves from them. I did this because you have lots of parts to these pipes that are simply far to large in diameter and some angles that are also to large. Pipe design is very very labour intensive and I dont want you to waste so much time on them thinking they will do what you predict straight off the bat. Most of the software programs out there will get you a pipe that works but they are only a tarting point and wont be close to a finished design. Anyway your doing what I love to do and your trying and learning which is a good thing as most people wont try. One other thing if you use a non divergent header it will lower the peak power and rpm on any design so if you design for 10000 you will loose approx 750-1000rpm off that with a straight parallel header is your header pipe on the bike a parallel wall header Rob.

Thanks tsa
Well it seems that the firts two are well short of there peak power prediction and the third looks like the better pipe to make.
Its something i wanted to do when i decided to keep the bike i approached and bought a program from an american guy but that fell through he tried to fix the download issue but ive not heard from him for ages, these are all from the a free app on the android market.
Im sure its not going to be a micron or an allspeed that i know but inside id like it to work well ive put alot of reading and thought into it and im not far off now.
Is there any were that sells kits or tech drawings...

Ivr tried to make the header a divergent one.
Ive tried to make it out of pipe rather than rolled sheet as ive no acces to rollers, by using 2" x1.5mm w/thickness and just cutting a little less out of the section each time untill i get to the desired size.
I havent stuck to the drawing as such, i was thinking earlier that the main chamber in the middle needs to a little shorter and as it looks to long a bit more like the 120000 rpm pipe

Keep up the good work fella, I found the welding to be the slowest bit, I cheated with mine and got Mick abbey to make the cones lol

Looking good mate. Here's a video of an RD125LC with a very similar looking pipe. It's a stock 10w pipe that I cut in half. Then I took out all the silencing material from the baffle and added a cone, a stinger and a proper silencer. It doesn't look very fast on the video, but it goes around 80 mph SITTING UPRIGHT. It has to do with the camera lens. It's not a GoPro cam with a fisheye lens (fisheye lens makes it look about twice as fast because of the distorted image).

Im impressed billy doesnt look that bad as i thought anyhow
Just managed to fire it up and it sounded crisp but hollow
Ive no baffle or wadding in there so thats probably why going to make a couple of reducers at work and fit them in and ill see how it sounds then

Well popped out on it for a quick bez and it sounded ace and went quite well aftet a big flat spot around 5500/6000 and went straight into the band and pulled straight round to 10000
Quietly pleased ill say as ive not been far enough yet i dud check the plug when i got back and its looking good darker side of a light brown

Don't look at my pipe for any inspiration though, I have no goddamn clue what I'm doing LOL.. I just mocked up a pipe that was close to the original specs in terms of length and volume.

Well made it to cadwell yesterday (sat) never missed a beat all the way there and back in the rain aswell lol was very interesting ride home.
Think i need to change a couple of things i need to increase the length of the silencer as its a tad loud.
Try and find some low down power as there is a mahoosive flat spot between 4.5and6.5
Up side is the pipe was realy strong when in the band and pulled everytime in every gear
