I love the standard LC clocks but the temp gauge is a bit, well, crap. So I set about fitting an aftermarket digital gauge in place of the original. Worked out quite well I think, here it is powered up in the kitchen workshop before I fit the clocks back on the bike

Hi, it's Koso slimline gauge think it was about £30 off Ebay. I bought it ages ago but have now realised they do a red display version too.
You do have to cut out some of the white clock housing at the bottom and also some of the face. Luckily I had an old tacho to practice on so I have kept my original too.

^^ yep that's the one Splitting the tacho isn't too hard, you just need to bend back the edge of the metal surround with a pair of pliers. Start at one of the pillars and gently bend out a small bit at a time and work your way round. Takes about 15 mins to do.

Looks good Rich. Can you use the standard temp sender or must you use the Koso item ?

Great work. I have one of these on my LC421. If you want you can polish off the writing on the lower edge of the Koso, its just painted on the shiny plastic and any plastic polish will do.
