You guessed it I've got a petrol leak due to the left hand carb over filling and leaking. 1) Tap must be leaking when off, can this be fixed and how? 2) Should the value in the carb shut off and not let any more fuel into the bowl? Norbo tell me what I need and I will post money

sounds like it in one...i had the exact same problem on mine...be careful you dont get the crankcase filling up with fuel, this can give you more grief you can get carb rebuild kits that have the float valve in them...dunno about the fuel tap spose there must be a rebuild kit...i got another tap

I have a tap you can have for £10 and a carb repair kit for £10 with the needle shut of valve bit in. Post is £3 . You should allways turn your tap of when you ride up your road to the house so it dranes the carbs a bit before you put it away. If you forget at the very least turn it of when you are parked up.

i do that on my bikes with manual taps,if you get it wrong and run it right out they sometimes rev like crazy as they go lean...watch out for it,it can take you unawares...used to do it on me crossers you run it out of fuel as you ride back to the van and the bugger takes off!can be a bit embarrasing
