right here we go just stripped whats left of my old f2 , engine , tank and many other parts were sold years ago , so im starting with a bare frame ,front forks and wheel rear swing arm and back wheel , also have a complete rebuilt 31k engine that was overhauled a year ago by a mate this is it so far / frame looks ok but was poorly powdercoated 9 years or so ago so il be getting that done shortly along with the wheels and various other parts gona be a slow build so dont expect daily updates the bike is a 87 model on a D plate , progress so far

just thought youd like to see whats inside the average 30 plus year old petrol tank , I noticed many holes around the fuel tap outlet and the inside of the tap mounting plate was very corroded

yeh mate I know feeding your bike on rusty fluid cant do it much good ,thanks for the comment loads to do as im now gonna cut the whole back end off, after a bit thought its easier to fit a complete alloy subframe than modify existing , one step forward two back but im in no g8 rush to finnish , mock up first then strip down for paint etc

just waiting on the r6 rear subframe to arrive , looks like the std subframe mountings will be going in the bin as the r6 is quite a bit wider and spindle is 20mm , oh dear more problems but the grinder with cutting disc should help

53 mm! thats some cutting.. that being said if it's protruding as much at the opposite side to what shown in the photo as well then you've loads of material to play with there.. get her lined up, hack sawed and reduce the middle spacer appropriately to accomodate the bearings.. you will more than likely need to get the swingarm inside diameter increased by the o/d and width of the bearing either side.. but if you know someone that can do with then you're sorted..
keep her going mate, you're doing well! don't suppose you're in northern ireland per chance.. could do with a project buddy lol
