Stripped master cylinder for refurb and front calipers. Also stripped 1 and a half fzr calipers. Stubborn Allen bolt stopped the other half.

Went on a 4 day trip to Oban with the NERDOC, travelled up Thursday, run out to Campbelltown on Friday, run out to Malliag on Saturday, home on Sunday. 987 miles 🙂, some really bad weather whilst there, especially the start of return journey home. 1 x RD400 holed a piston, a GT550 kept going onto 2 pots both in recovery van going there, 1 x 350YPVS wouldn't start on Sunday morning, more than likely water in elects as would misfire and pop when trying it. Not bad for 15 strokers, and about the same diesels. Before and after pics of bike.

Took the LC for MOT at my local Yamaha dealer Alford Bros , they even lent me a MT09 while it was being tested and blagged a Yamaha icon brouchure to go with the 65 year anniversary T shirt I got the other week , never had anything but top service from them for 40 years since I was 14 kid 😀 Mart That's great. I've got the red T shirt for 50 years of Yamaha, or maybe that one is worn out, and the white 50 years of Yamaha racing with the M1 and the OW01 on it. That one's never been worn. I might have a trip to my local Yamaha dealer and see if I can blag one of those. I found my 1998 R1 brochure the other day in the garage. Got it in 1998 and finally bought the bike (a 1999 model) in 2002. I don't see the XS750 being anything special.

I'm doing well mate, missed the Cadwell track days this year (Gutted), if you need any connectors shout up, it just so happens i have a LC harness in the garage in good nick (fronm a Japanese 4L3 model), i'll cut them off for you. Andy. Thanks for the offer Andy, seems a bit drastic to chop bits off it though! I got the most complete harness cleaned up. I was scratching my head for a bit over what to clean it with. After looking through various boxes I found a can of brake and chain cleaner. after a bit of testing to make sure it wasn't going to melt anything I sprayed the connectors over an icecream tub and used a toothbrush and a paintbrush as well as my compressed air line and it came up pretty good. The brake cleaner evaporates quickly which is probably what you want. Things always look better when they are cleaned eh? I'll clean the other one and compare them side by side. I'll have to make a trip to my mates place for some more brake cleaner. The can I had is empty, it was Silkolene so probably quite expensive, he sells the lower priced stuff. That should do for me. Unless there is anything else anyone recommends? My brother once got me a 5L tub of cleaner from BAE. It was a brilliant de-greaser and disappeared almost instantly. Probably a trichlorethylene or substitute and something quite deadly

I've never seen a screen like that before. Very unusual. Cracking bikes BTW!

I suppose with that many it makes sense but I am still hanging on to summer. Just spent nine hours on the car changing pads, cleaning hand brake mechanism and a bleed all round. Summer is still here 😉. Hope to get a few more rides in too.
Can't fully see that RD but I like what I can see. 👍

Restoring my 3rd H2 and I have to send off a case to get a cylinder head stud removed and the ‘socket?’ rethreaded. Only seemed proper for it to have some 2-stroke transpo to FedEx.

Took her for a spin, not much time left until hibernation Nice 👍 , I like the pipes. I nearly bought a 1st generation power valve in 1983, but spent the money on a ford Capri instead 🙁as my then girlfriend was moaning about the oncoming winter ... Not got any of them now.... Including the girlfriend 😁
