Whether the boost bottle has a positive or negative effect is one thing
How muck power it will rob is another
Think realistically it's most likely a couple of horses. If it won't hold 80 then you have another problem

Struggled to maintain 80mph on the motorway..thereβs a million ignored reasons why though, not least of which: some think the boost bottle is for a YPVS despite Nigel having reassured me it itβs the right one. One fitted has slanted ends. What you need is one of these. Lightweight and the bike goes like the clappers. On a serious note Midlife is correct

Took the LC hybrid and the N1 hybrid down to Helmsley then went on to Whitby, bumped in to 3TJ6 from this here forum, nice to meet him and have a chat. Our lass rode the N1, she did a great job for her first real ride out, she was chuffed to bits, but trying to explain the powerband and dropping at least two cogs to overtake! I'm sure we'll get there. Andy. IMG_3869 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr IMG_3870 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr IMG_3868 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr

Tuesday worked out a bit different than I expected, had a cancellation and other IT nonsense which meant I had an unexpected bikey day. Second time out on the Ducati and a longer trip, baffles out now so it sounds like it should ... Met up for a blat and lunch with a friend, who kindly let me have a go on his big bored and tuned RG500 motor'd RGV250 track bike..Always wanted to feel what one of these was like and it was ace, more go than the Ducati and more comfortable....or at least it felt like it had more go, could just be the 2 stroke power delivery but its a dyno'd 115BHP motor in a much lighter bike. Eitherway, it sounded as naughty as it was.. ...and perhaps the last ride of 2020 on my RD, perfect...

After nearly 12 months of ownership and lots of time spent on the motor finally fitted a battery to my 4l0. Maybe not surprisingly not much worked for a supposedly runs like a good un bike. Still the oil warning light, horn and one side of indicators is a start. ππ

Thanks Alex, been tucked under the bench for a few years, still undecided whether to fit it? It may look a bit "LC" on the valve? Andy.

Took my 31K out on new Pirelli Sport Demons - 100/90 & 120/80. I know there is debate on sizes but they replaced BT45s 90/90 & 130/70 that were on it when i bought it and it completely changed it - i feel as confident on it now as i do on my grandad bike which is a modded 2020 MT07 for commuting.....

Try the swinger out and see. It's pretty unique and I think it'd look great.

Finally doing some jobs I had lying on my bench while my tanks do backstroke in DeoxC - amazing stuff! Thanks again for the vid Mellow. 1 - made some wire retainers after OBG did fantastic work to detail the dimensions. Thanks so much mate! Info here for those who need one: rdlccrazy.proboards.com/thread/50188/new-project-lc-bitsa?page=22 - Glued some splits in F/500 headlight masks with some Wurth black superglue (Thanks to Howard for organising that!). Its a great fix and will stop them getting worse, in fact its better than that its made them solid again. Good stuff.

Took it for its last MOT yesterday, now that its 40 years old. All good. After speaking with Footman James and the MOT inspector, I think I will go down the voluntery MOT route next year. The weather forecast was not favourable yesterday, and I was prepared to get soaked. I got to the MOT station in the dry, and on leaving, I was again prepared to get soaked on the way home. I could see the rain clouds in the distance, but it stayed dry. Iv not done lots of miles on my LC this year, but I thouroughly enjoyed whizzing about on it yesterday. I reported when I left the house, that I would be home at approx 16:00.... I came home at 18:00, only because I was sure I was going to go onto reserve. I got a bollocking for being late, she was just worried, bless her. Im 53 years old and LC,s are still getting me into trouble ! Steven. www.lcclub.co.uk/product/rd-lc-40th-anniversary-tee/

Looked in various stack and store boxes for it. Found two wiring harnesses, both incomplete. Found a tin with a load of reeds, reed stopper plates, about four throttle cables, none are usable but may be repairable. I do know where the frame and most of the engine is. Planning to get it back together for the first time since 1993.

Andy. Hi Andy, how are you doing? Never done anything much on the RGV to find out π. I found out the reg for an LC frame I've had for years and it's kick started my interest. I spent a few hours this afternoon cleaning the first wiring harness. I'll have to buy a few bits for it I think but you can get all the connectors for them now. I'm planning to just get bits cleaned up and sorted rather than starting with the frame or engine. Just found a clutch and some loose clutch plates. The clutch was an RD200 though. I'll try and put some photos up. Looking forward to seeing it progressing.
