I've got my F2 engine apart and sent the barrels and crank off for a rebore and rebuild, and ordered all genuine seals and gaskets from Fowlers. Hopefully it won't take too long for it all to come back so the rebuild can start.

Took the LC out for a spin after changing the carbs, pulls like a train with no flat spots, but the plug colours are a bit suspect, bit of investigating required. Andy. IMG_4133 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr IMG_4134 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr

Hello mate, i had tzr250 carbs on it, ran well, but a bit fluffy hovering on the throttle, so i went RG250 Mikunis 28mm, with 290 mains, i have them on my N1 with 300 mains and Dave's mid range pipes and it runs great, so one size down with these because the headers are slightly smaller on the Tyga pipes. Andy.

The Rg carbs are a straight fit the tzr are angled and you have to use a billet manifold otherwise they foul the clutch arm, the tzr carbs have water feeds too on mine for carb icing. Andy.

Had to clean mine today, set off and it was lovely and sunny but then ended up on some roads that had been salted fairly recently and had water run off from fields on them . i did 40 miles and the bike is spot on and now its back to being immaculate. The lc love is strong

MOT done today. No advisory comments. Nice seeing itβs 40 in Feb 2022. Got this 4L0 350 December 2019, it was last on the road around 2003. Was going to be a quick rebuild. Crank done , barrels re lined, every bearing replaced, took a little longer than anticipated.

lovely to see the UK contingent getting their bikes out for Spring. The weather moves so quickly in the UK, one minute its all snow and what seems only seconds later youve all got bikes out in the sun going for MOTs etc. Love this time of year in the UK, always feels so positive.

60 mile essentials trip on the 500. I am really impressed how well this particular bike goes without a stutter up to the red, brakes, handles, turns and sounds with the JL pipes. This is my 2nd RD500 and by far a much better bike and a fair bit quicker too. Whoever did the motor rebuild a few years ago did it well I think.. Registered and offered to my buddy to buy - if he doesn't have it then it's for sale for my next 2T that's already in the pipeline. IMG_4276 by KTM Marky, on Flickr IMG_4273 by KTM Marky, on Flickr

Fitted the new battery and gave mine a quick once over before the last MoT next week. Started second kick and no obvious issues, other than slightly binding front brakes, ok going forwards, but drag a bit when rolled backwards.

Actually laid a spanner on my 385 hybrid today π±
It's only been 4 years π¬
No wonder the back brake was stuck on. Caliper dust seals hanging out and master cylinder seized π
Only 1000 miles since they were rebuilt
It was 12 years ago though π

Had some parts arrive including new clutch cable adjuster parts for my F1's clutch. As usual, its the tiny details that count... and cost... so much lol.
Still waiting on the collar for the lever and i can fit the new cable. I hate to think what it has cost me to replace the incorrect straight perch with the correct canted version with pretty much all new parts :/

Took mine for her MOT today, parked outside the shop to check in, but when I came back there was a puddle of fuel underneath, pouring out of the RH carb overflow. Obviously they couldn't MOT her with a fuel leak, so I went home and stripped the carb, cleaned up the needle valve and reset the float height, which was out by a few mil. Left her on the side stand with the fuel tap on and not a drip after half an hour. So put it all back together and fired her up. Second kick and sounded sweet. So I'll have to rebook the test on Monday and keep an eye on the carb. just in case. IMG_20210313_133404
