Looks great again. See you added lights this time. Bet it put the rest to shame.... ;D Whish I could have made it..
Planning comming back to the June ish Newark show again? Cannot remember the actual date but did state it in the Newark show posts. They suggest alot more staters on the field. Want to here the 500GP bike run.
That's a great collection of bikes there I don't think people appreciate what goes into bikes like these, I mean if you add up all the man houres gone into each bike and then added all those totals together I think people would be very surprised indeed
Rob and joe blue and white KR special , truebrit best bike in show and myself got to donnington about 6am and started setting up, helped by others as they arrived with there bikes. The Saturday set up took 5 hours. Back again on Sunday 6.45am, we all started again finishing it of as we still didn’t have a single bike pushed on the stand Sunday morning . so as rob layed down the last bit of the flooring where looeys Fiz special and micks YSR50 stood Dave truebrit myself and Rob fullton RGV, Marsbar LC special started to plan out the were each bike would go. Over 3 hours later it was all finished. So just over 8 Hours set up time and were good to go. A special thanks to DRZ Simon as new N1 and his lovely miss who manned the table for a lot of the day.
I would like to thank everyone who attended the show and a massive thanks to all who took there bikes. The stands we do are only as good as the bikes that YOU bring so without you we have nothing, so id like to say thanks again it really is appreciated for all you time and effort.
Rob’s RGV looking just lovely right at the end of the line, it had a real shine on it.
looeys Fiz special was something different and got a lot of looks as did Mick hurts YSR 50 that looked so cool. And Dave “truebrits” LC on the stand getting best bike at the entire show
Rob&joes blue and white LC getting many many pics taken of it as usual, always one of the most looked at bikes.
Simons as new N1 and tracys AR80 I thing she got a trophy for that on the day.
If any one is intorested i was thinking Manchester 23ed & 24th March if we get anough intorest . so PM me if you whant to bring a bike and get in for free. This is not conferemd and i havent even spoke to the people if i get anough people then ill give them a call and book us a spot
Loving the AR80 too, how'd have thought they would be as sought after as they are now...
I can't believe just how rare genuine AR80's are now. If you keep an eye out for them like I do, you soon realise there's hardly any about at all.
If you do a search on ebay at virtually any time, there won't be any for sale . They didn't sell in big numbers when they were new (most learners went straight to 125's from their peds), then most got robbed of their running gear to put in 50's and now the wheels off to Malaysia at £300+
Tracey was pretty lucky to find this one, as it's a one owner, 3,000 mile bike and the only things that have ever been touched on it are new tyres (I have the originals that have slightly perished side walls), oh and a new battery.
It was cool for her to get the runner-up for best Kwacker in show (she was well chuffed) but I think that was mainly due to it being completely original as much as anything
It did look nice sal and i added 12 X 50 w Halgen spot lights down the midle as well so the bikes realy did look nice . well untill i kicked 1 of them 3 bloody times and bust all 6 lights on that line .
