This is a bike I purchased last year. It came in several boxes with many parts missing. The previous owner spent many years cutting the frame and modifying bits etc. I just left it in the garage until last week when I was bored and thought I would dig it out. I was told the engine had been rebuilt and was ready to fit but I thought I had better have a look just to make sure it was all OK. I took the heads off to find some nice new pistons and yes it is all good, fresh rebores and a rebuilt crank. On further inspection I notice the heads were off a E so I had a closer look at the barrels and they are also 2R9s make them of the E as well. This is working out well for me as I am sourcing parts for my E resto that im starting later. I have been looking for these barrels for months and here they are in the garage all the time. I have plenty of C barrels so a top end swap was done. So engine done and its time to start adding things to the frame, I have already painted this. I have plenty of bits left over from other restos and this is to be a cheapy resto, the bike is being done just to go in the garage of my camper so weight needs to be kept to a minimun. The wheels are now done and the new tyres were already fitted, im just waiting for the chain and sprocket kit to arrive before fitting the rear wheel. I will be fitting the loom and a few other parts tomorrow if I get time.

The weather has been crap so locked myself in the garage. RDnuts popped round for a cuppa so got him working as well, we soon had the engine in. Then I got excited and could not stop. I won this NOS set of spoke wheels on ebay to go on this special at a later date. Genuine Allspeeds Just waiting for the brake callipers and the painwork. I will be having a custom paint job, all will be revealed soon, I have not even sent it to him yet so it will be a while. I still have no neutral light but other than that I cant do anymore until I get some more parts.

Now finished other than the paintwork. I will be collecting that from Custom painter on Monday morning so by Tuesday/Wednesday it should be all finished. I hope it starts. Finished photos next week. I have seen a photo of the paint job and im well impressed, I take no credit for that. I just told Tony Collins to do whatever he wanted but told him there was a hint of Blue on the bike. The rest was down to him.

If I'm honest the stripe across the top and on the side panels would have to go and the rear light wants straightening but the overall look is mint, well done Paul

Petrol cap is from www.newton-equipment.com I like the back light now and I have bought it up a bit. Im also not sure on the side panel decal. Had it running the other day and it sounds lovely I just need to jet it but the weather has been so wet to take it out. Im going to wait a few weeks before I ride it.

Just passed the MOT and running well now the jetting and needle height is sorted. Weighs in a 152 Kilos, I thought I would weigh it while I was there.
That first ride is always a worry but it made it 12 miles there and back.
Im just waiting for the better weather and take it for a 100 mile shakedown.
