Fitted some banshee racing coils on my 350lc today, this is how i did it. first of all i cleaned all the plastic coating from the frame to make a good earth. then I made a bracket with 2 holes drilled at 40mm centres for the 2 coils next i got a connector from an old loom the loom only has one live and an earth so put the earth to the frame and daisy chained with connectors to feed the two coils tank and seat back on and fired her up. sounds crisper, so went for a 20 mile ride, it accelerates faster and revs better from low down the rev range. Going on the nerdoc run tomorrow so full report after that, hope you liked my little story mick and kaf ;D

well went on the nerdoc run and she ran as sweet as a nut ;D as i say sounds crisper, and while other lc's went on reserve i was still on main tank. So seems like fuel consumption has improved too ;D ;D ;D

Giday blokes, fellow RD nut from OZ here.I've found an after market banshee coil which ticks all the boxes, it's a single unit and has 2 replacable leads. You can check them out at www.legendmotorcycles.........

Hi, has anyone got the wiring instructions for these. Only I can’t see pics. Fitting a pair on mine this week, but trying to fit them upright so they are closer together, not sure how much room there is under the tank. Tried a Dyna coil but that was too big. Not seen this thread? pics included rdlccrazy.proboards.com/thread/41959/banshee-coils-wiring

Yes bought one of them after seeing your posts, I bought a few of the bigger versions originally, but found out that they also fitted my KR1s so not so bad.

You can also fit the Dyna coils upright by making a small "L" bracket each end; 20150616_102700 by David Miller, on Flickr I felt doing it this way means the HT leads have a better run down to the plugs. And tank clears it with no issues. Dusty

Mine are all fitted and working. And no problem with room under the tank at all. Will get a pic when I remove my tank yet again.

Mine all fitted now and bike certainly seems "sharper" when revved. I used the brackets Norbo sells; 20171108_161726 by David Miller, on Flickr I had an old coil that I cut the wiring plug off. The orange from the plug was connected to one coil, and then another orange wire was linked from that across to the other coil. The black wire from the plug was run to earth on the rear coil bracket. Thanks to the guys on the forum that pointed me in the right direction. Dusty
