after close inspection found carbs to be a mile out needle on top notch , #110 main jet # 15 idle jet . so with a little help from you guys purchased some carb kits from www.nrp-carbs.com/shop 01618328646 . carbs ultra sonic cleaned (thanks to boss loaning a sonic cleaner for a couple of week ;-) ) carb kit carb's complete cleaned with kit Seat before and after recovering crank cases stripped ready for vapour blasting

found this piccy of the 250 i had when i was 18 ,hard to believe almost 25 years ago and here i am building another one wish i hadnt sold it for £600 back then ,would have saved a fortune

Carn't remember what make the seat cover was but can remember it cliped over the original seat and was made from fibre glass ,possible a ARD item ,but this was back in 1989

Careful with the keyster kits, as they jets/needles are meant to not be very accurate copies.

Hi Sean i purchased the kit a couple of years ago approx £140.00 and purchased a variable meter from them afterwards found this to be easier to set amp/volts on from these people gaterosplating.co.uk/Zinc-Plating-kit .Lets say my first few attempts were not great but practised for a while and hopefully getting better at it .

Gutted started to strip old engine to find one barrel on standard bore and other on 0.25 oversize ,now time for a piston kit and rebore ,why do people not do a proper job in the first place aaaahhhhh !!!!!!

just replaced the torsion spring on gear shaft thats from a powervalve now in great condition no grove on shaft ,so after mod and a £13 gear shaft from ebay hope no oil leak when built . had to grind head from pin to remove the roker arm etc from shaft to replace torsion spring then ask a nice friend just to weld over the head area to form a solid fix.Sure there was an easier way but couldnt see it

Hi adie not 100 % sure will check tomorrow all jetted and needled up the same bought from ebay a while ago amd had to do jetting etc a mile out
