Thought I'd post up here (as Norbo had my arm behind me back...)
Other than loving my 2-smokes, it still bothers me that although they've only 2 moving parts they're a) expensive, and b) those 2 parts are planning for freedom at the earliest chance.
My insurance has always been 4-strokes
Missin out all my yoof, let's just start in 2009 when I came back to this lovely country, I dragged my bought-new in 2003 DRZ with me.
It had seen lots of action in the Suzuki Cup, a one-model series run nationally in Spain.
Even did a track day in November at Caddy:
Decided I wanrted a ferk-off ultimate DRZ:
It had to be totally rebuilt as it was 2 minutes from a major blow up (not just the LC's then), rebuilt it and flipping hated it. It had so much stuff done to it, it took away the ethos of a DRZ
So, broke it and broke even (just) (eventually).
Also, this is the reason why I don't want the N1 I built, if there's no love, there's no love. End of. Sell it, buy something else....
In the meantime I bought this:
But sold it this year as it hurt my old wrists, and that honour has always been applauding those poor girls on the internet who can't afford clothes....
So, didn't want to destroy a perfectly good M, I bought this:
for-a-grand
What did Marc Almond write now? Say hello, wave goodbye...
I absolutely love it. It was the stuff I was writing about when I was partly famous in the late 90's and it's still got that "big LC" hooligan feel to it. Even running on MOTUL it smells like bubblies as well
I'll try to dig out some pre 2009 but don't laugh...
