The bike was good to start with.He was going to touch up a couple of small chips on the bottom of the frame, short time later bike was in boxes, frame powder coated, cases split and blasted, crank rebuilt, rebore, carbs rebuilt, you get the picture.Pictures do not do this 1 justice.

He has done a good job. Nice to see someone else spending time on a 250 instead of a 350.

yes mate , engine number present and correct , its just not noticable in the top pic but if you look carefully you can see it in the bottom one. this bike really is perfect and as said before , the pictures dont do it justice , usually in my opinion pictures make bikes look better than in the flesh, not so with this bike.

Lovely bike, have one the same ready for a resto in the future, hope it would look this nice when finished. Why not get rid of the allen bolts when you've got it to this standard?? seems a little strange and makes them stand out to me.

yeah lc bott , suppose your right but theres only 5 allen headed bolts on it that are meant to be hex or star, horn cover, bearing in mind that this bike shouldnt have twin horns anyways , barrel drain bolts and brake hose clamp. not really a lot to critisise considering the bike build was never intended to be a concourse restoration and also the fact that the owner did everything himself , paintwork, engine etc. he's built dozens of bikes over the years and knows whats original and whats not and as he always says anyway" It's my bike and i can do what i want". not getting at you or anything, everyones entitled to their own opinion and all. Another thing i may as well point out before anyone else does is that if you look carefully you will notice that the footrests have been lowered, this is because the owner has limited movement in his legs due to a disability and could not ride it otherwise. He has a brand new set for it on the shelf at home .thanks for all the nice comments from everyone and keep on smoking lol
