I am guessing i have described quite a lot of us on here, Gentlemen of a certain age love LC's generally just before the great decline to beige trousers and sunday afternoons in garden center tea rooms.

Just remembered about your job at Supermarine, you will never get away from my missus.
I have only been to the show at Uttoxetter, does stafford have more trade stands and autojumble?

way more !!!!!!, i read that uttoxeter is cancelled this year as well :-( but i think this years stafford show is biased towards brit classics, but there is always a good mix, well worth a viewing, if you go, pehaps our paths may cross !

The April Stafford is supposed to be European and the October Stafford is Japanese but the shows blurred a while back so its all really Stafford 1 + 2 now. Some of the stuff is hideously overpriced and some bargains to be had too. There is usually a few people from the continent wandering around too trying to find hard to source items and it gets packed Free parking too

Well I just got home 360 mile round trip. It lashed it down all the way there, was awful weather when we arrived so we rushed inside the halls, by the time we came out of the halls and the rain had eased off most of the stalls outside had either packed up or were in the process of packing up. I was a bit disapointed in the lack of jap 2 strokes, but I didn't realize there was a european and jap show at different times of the year. One good thing was the missus pointing at the two RD400's on stand in the hall and saying "I really like those two", "oh that bikes on my list to get when we move house and get a bigger garage" says I. Looks like I got the thumbs up for that. Shame I couldn't see more LC's, and the prices for some of the tatty bikes they were selling in the hall was a joke.
