Now that the X factor / Strictly dancing and other such garbage is back on I don't get a look in on the Tv so spent a bit more time in the garage ;D I've made the mounts and fitted a Cagiva Mito 125 rad as it holds 50% more coolant than the F2 rad, that should keep the bugger cool also fitted a RGV thermostat which opens at 50 degrees C. Also fabricated a Renntec style radiator grill, should look OK when it's powder coated satin black Finally got the R1 speedo sensor and loom so I can test out my R1 clocks, fabricated a mounting bracket you can see in the photo above, spun it up with a valve grinding tool connected to a drill and it worked first time shows 38MPH with the sprocket spinning at about 3000 rpm not sure what that will be in the real world but hopefully a speed healer will sort it out.

Looking really good, thought I was doing a good job with my NC30 hybrid till I saw this My hub rear hub is due back 2moro from Rick Oliver - mod to take 17inch wheel from VFR750. Was told you fitted RGV switch gear to one of your hybrids, any pitfalls with going down that route? Cheers Nigel

Thanks for comments guys ;D Fitted RGV switchgear to my last build, work great I just cut the plugs of the old RD switches and connected them to the RGV ones, I think I had to re-wire the kill switch as the RGV one works the opposite way but just a matter of moving one wire to the opposite terminal in the kill switch.

Been having fun wiring had to completely rebuild the loom cos I moved all the electronics boxes and fitted the wiring for the R1 speedo & a speed healer. Finally found a good straight NC35 front wheel & bought a set of Kagzumi wavey discs. Got my mate to make me up a new front wheel spindle to fit the new wheel to the GSXR forks, well happy only cost me a pint ;D Also bought a carbon fibre front mudguard, now the front end is complete, well happy Right thats it the mock up's complete, time to strip it all down and send off the frame wheels etc for powder coating.

I think I've said it before but I'll say it again - man this bike will be awesome! Nice to see another front end then RGV for once, (not that it's anything wrong with RGV lol, just so damn common) love those radial calipers too.

And we continue ;D Powder coatings done prepped loads of bits & can finally start the build proper when I get my barrells back from Mick Abbey. Gonna fit the barrels & head after the engines in as it's a bit tight & I don't want to scratch the frame. Polished the k4 bottom yoke

Got some more done ;D made a clutch window & refurbished the casing with new seals & bearings, fitted one of Norbo's hi flow impellars, serviced the pump & fitted a shiney new ali dip stick. Barrels come back from Mick Abbey who did a fast road tune & honed the bores, fitted new PV bearings & seals. Now we're getting anal I nickel plated all the engine studs to stop them going rusty. Finally got the lump back together with new crank, clutch, springs, seals. Fitted the hydraulic clutch, nickel plated the engine mount plates & used stainless bolt set from NK racing. Ground the top of the crank case to match the transfer ports & trimmed the base gaskets to match. Ready now to fit the new pistons & finish the top end. ;D

Done a bit more made some special tools so I could strip down the GSXR forks, now there all rebuilt with new seals, oil etc ;D Got the front end all fitted & got some smart new shorty billet levers for the radial brake master & clutch master cylinders. ;D Got the top end back together, just waiting for Norbo to get some more stainless head bolts in, then I can finish it & plumb in the cooling system & rad. Fitted the rear sub-frame, battery & RS250 oil tank. Stainless steel under tray, shiney shiney ;D ;D

Holy crap, is that actually powdercoat on the swinger?? It looks like it's polished aluminum. Very nice I must say. I'm not getting anything polished again, pain in the arse You're goddamn right about that sir! I'm also sick of it. It's nice when it's freshly polished but keeping it shiny is a P.I.T.A. Not to mention polishing a big part from scratch. I couldn't be arsed to polish the footrest hangers on the 125, (and they're not even big) I'll do that "some other day" lol. ;D
