There 25 post is good to have, OEB I see it has been a long time ago that you got over the 25 post mark. As I'm more fresh with that I can tell you and Norbo that there is a small flaw with this. When you first go into this forum there is no sign that there is actually a for sale/wanted section. Most of the new members are new owners looking for advice and parts. It is only if you read the general section that you find out about the for sale section and the 25 post rule. if the section was visible but locked for new members and it made a note on the user when clicked on then maybe the new members would respect it and wait before selling or asking for parts. I'm sure I did ask for parts before I got to 25 posts but I never got a PM from Norbo to sell me anything.. His shop is open to anyone, member or not. Kostas Exactly, you'd of thought that at least new members got a welcome email stating the forum rules. The shop is open to all because it is for buyers only. OEB

OEB Good points made but if your going to have a welcome email to new members it would have to be an automated one (don't know how to do that) do you realise how many people join the forum each day lots.

I did add a welcome PM to all new members about 3or 4 months back it explaining the 25 post rool .
Most wanted adds are for second hand parts needed so are not adding to my customer list its other members that answer them. people get hear from the link from the main site and that has its own shop page so new people already know about my parts before the join the forum so you are totally wrong in your inference.
The 25 post rool is not meant to hinder proper lc owners from getting to the adds its meant to keep EBay sellers away from the site.
May be you forget But before the rool we used to get lots of adds with e bay links from people who did nothing elce but post links . we would get links to Sunglasses and god knows what as well as the bike part links .
I started to get pms from people saying they hag got something from a member that was crap and no good and they wont reply to there messages on ebay about the duff item and as they were a forum member could I have a word . So id have a look and they would have 20 or 30 posts and every single 1 was a link to ebay not one word to say hi or anything just e bay links . that's why I made the rool .

Welcome to the mad house. People are friendley and helpfull hear so dont be afaid to ask questions and ask for help. Have fun say Hi and introduse your self. After 25 posts you will get to see the classifieds. You will need a photobucket account to post pics. smg.photobucket.com/

Welcome to the forum Sean Best way to get post count up is to post photos of your LC - doesn't matter what it's like - just post them up. There will be loads of encouragement and advise ect.

FIRST POST: Just bought myself an 84 RZ250RR imported from Japan to Sydney AU for Xmas. Id been eyeing off 250cc 2 strokes after enjoying the delights of a Gilera Runner FXR180 scooter for a couple of years. The RZ also joins a Vespa GTS250, an 04 Triumph Bonnie and a BMWF800R so its like WW2 in my garage every night. Joined this forum to get some tips on these crazy 2 stroke beasties. The RZ had only 15,000ks and as far as I can gather is pretty stock and original. At the moment I'm learning how to get it running smoothly and a whole new chapter on riding a 30yo motorcycle. Because its in such original condition Ive decided to keep it stock as much as possible but Im not adverse to modding the brakes suspension and tyres. So far Ive synched the carbies, sorted out the oil pump and put progressive springs in the front shocks. Im now looking at new tyres, braided lines and the triumph caliper mod. So far Im pretty impressed at the handling of the RZ and when its running smoothly the big grin I get from the power band. Having a great time with this new beastie, just so much to learn.

Classifieds To encourage the use of the forum for its members and the correct use of this board, the classified section is hidden until you reach 25 post's. You then will become "L plate rider" and you will then have full access to the board and all it has to offer. This is to encourage members to join in, and help people and not simply to flog stuff or post E-Bay links and nothing else. The forum is an lc community of which we have a large majority of like minded enthusiasts, other sites have had to add a "paid up member" contributions to view these sections we do not just say Hi post a picture of your bike and in a couple of days you will have 25 post. Only 2 rools. Be Honest when describing and PUT A PRICE no make an offers this is not E-Bay , Be right with people and they will be right with you when your looking for parts. Help the Forum with Suggestions If you have any ideas or suggestions that you think may improve the site please fee to voice them. Just PM any mod with any ideas. Feel free to add a link to this forum on any other forums links really do help. Put your bike in a showIf you would like to put your bike in a show pm me with a picture we are always looking for new bikes for the shows. They do not have to be an LC They can be any 2 Stroke. Anything from a AR50 to a H1 750 Kwack triple or a vespa if its a 2 stroke bike and you would like to be part of a show you are most welcome Posting pictures on the forumThe best way to post pictures on the site is with a photo housing place like this one secure.photobucket.com/login?returnUrl=/uploadJust upload the picture and when its uploaded copy the bottom coad and paste it in your thread
