I have a pair of F2 forks which came off a bike with clip on bars, I am fitting them into the headstock of an LC2, which has normal handlebars, are the forks the same length on both the LC2 and F2 or do I need to push the forks through the LC2 headstock as if I were fitting clip ons on an f2.
Think that makes sense, i.e how far should my f2 forks project out of my LC2 head stock.

Entirely down to personal preference mate......I did the same conversion on my LC......I decided to have the forks flush with the tops of the yokes , but I dare say you could drop them through a bit , might affect steering geometry though if you go too far.
Trial and error.......ride it and see

yes, I have set them stuck up about a 1/4 of an inch at the moment, when I've finished the build I'll see how it feels, but not having ridden a road bike before, It will probably not make any differance to me.

True enough, I put the bars on last night and you can only push them through about 1 inch max.
So theres the answer, somewhere between a 1/4 and 1 inch.
Out of interest does anyone know if the LC2 and F2 forks are differant in length, for future reference?

Sorted, about 1 inch longer then according to the picture, I will see how it rides and perhaps play about with the forks and see what the affect is.
Thanks all, onward and upward!
