my trackbike has a powervalve engine , set of coils , cdi box and a kill switch , not even a loom and they should run, with nothing else , check the wiring diagram and join these up and you do need to get that engine spinning quite fast to see a spark hope this is some help dude my valves are fixed wide open aswell ........

i think you might have to get the kick start back on or working , only reason i say this is i don't have room for one on my track bike as the fairing is in the way , so when i fitted my newly bored barrels and new pistons a couple of months ago i thought i would check the spark before i went to fire her up and , trying to turn the engine with the back wheel no spark at the plug and everything was working before . i put the kick start back on and gave it a few kicks and hey presto sparking again . put the fairing back on and a couple of bumps down the street and no probbs started . so it's maybe not allot wrong with your one
Cheers Al
