Thanks. This is only a temporary thing till I decide what colour/scheme to finish it in. It's just satin black smoothrite but it deserves a proper job.

Yah sorry for the lapse in posting Rear brembo master fitted with Nk rearsets Only used it to and from work a few times but been out tonight to get a few miles on it. Covered just over 50 now and feels crisp as an iceberg lettuce. Feels like it's gonna go like stink. This was the first actual ride "nostalgic to say the least!" And now the belly pan is on too

Good stuff mark. I spoke to the plastic fabrication place again and he said they could defo do something for you regarding airbox if you chose that route. Possibly a bit late now but it's there if you need it. Keep cracking mate. Regards ian

Thanks yogi, bazza, dusty and everyone else who's left nice/positive comments. Now, I need a new gearshift knuckle, I've read it's a 10mm spline. Does anyone know of any others that will fit? I could buy the whole lever etc from norbo but I only need the spline piece and rose joint that goes into the gears shaft. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks again ian

It's a 150/60x17 exactly the right size for Rgv. Seemed like there's a spacer missing or the wrong size but what I've done has done the job. Can't see there being a problem but, as you say, keep an eye on it. Thanks again

Thanks for your positive comment yogi. I tried the tyre thing but was no good for the mot!! I have an offset front sprocket fitted from Nk racing. When the back wheel is in place with the spindle nut loose it's clear but there is a small gap between the arm and the wheel spacer on the near side. When the spindle nut is tightened the gap clears and the chain touches the rear tyre. The sprocket carrier is powder coated so it is an extremely tight fit in the Cush drive rubbers. We've put a 5 or 6mm washer between the bearing and the Cush drive spacer and the chain clears. It's still a very tight fit in the rubbers and it all works. I appreciate a lot of you guys have built some really special things and I dare say you know a hell of a lot more than me. It just seems a better idea to space the whole carrier out than having all the stress on small washers between the sprocket and carrier. I hadn't read Gary's post till I'd already fitted the bigger spacer but saw the second post last night after several beers and was offended by the term "bodged" I still can't understand why the chain touched the rear tyre as everything's Rgv and should all fit. I was rather hoping for an actual reason from someone if they had had the same problem.

Tetchy!! thanks for commenting initially. I asked if anyone had any ideas, that's all!! Yes, you replied but I really can't believe that putting 2 washers behind each sprocket bolt is less of a bodge that putting one spacer to space the whole cush drive out, you've obviously misread what I've actually done as it doesn't inlvolve the caliper at all??!! It's motd, I've ridden it, it's fine. Remove your post if you like and remove the one telling me it's a bodge. I would recommend you have a bit more respect in future eh?

Spacer behind the cushdrive has done the job by the looks of it so we dropped the arm out to fit the chain guide

Well, picked it up today. Couldn't get it set up on the dyno due to the chain touching the rear tyre!!?? It clears till the spindle nut is tightened then rubs on the tyre. Aa far as I know all the bearings, spacers, carrier etc are correct. The solution we have come up with is a 6 mm spacer behind the cushdrive spacer to get clearance on the chain without shifting the whole wheel across. Any other suggestions welcome. So, I'm gonna try and get the new rear brembo master from pdq tomorrow, fit and bleed it, fit the chain runner. Mot it and take it for a spin. It does sound the nads and crisper than an iceberg lettuce so really looking forward to it!! Watch this space

Thanks again chaps. Yes that's right, they are Mark Dent items. He asked me what size cans, I said if it's down to aesthetics I'd like smaller. He replied it's down to noise. So smaller it is then lol. He has actually sent me a video of it running!!! Sounds sweet (v loud too!!) should be set up during this week, need to get a new brembo rear master to fit the new Rearsets (Nk) fit the new chain runner to swinging arm and we are off. Would anyone like to hear it?
